Roland Sedlacek 6'3" | 180 lbs | LB | 2025
SD

Braeden Harmelink - Lennox, 5'9" 135lbs, RB/OLB

Harmelink is an interesting play for this upcoming season for a few reasons, mainly for his blistering speed and quick frame. Harmelink is skilled as a multi-faceted tailback who can provide versatility and pass-catching out of a single position. Harmelink is hard to tackle and even harder to catch when he breaks out into the open field and is someone hard to catch up with when he gets going. One thing I find interesting about Harmelink is the sheer acceleration that he can achieve, while his speeds are not fast right out of the gate, he can get going and do that in an incredibly fast manner. On defense, Harmelink fits in more of a coverage role and can provide coverage on the defense. He is speedy and gritty with his coverage abilities and could fit into a more traditional defense back role when as he grows and develops over his time. Being just a sophomore, Harmelink has a high ceiling with his gifted speed and offense ability to create for his team and can excel as a press coverage defender for his team in the future.

Ben Brooks - Madison, 6'7" 190lbs, QB/LB

Brooks has some raw talent that if developed, could be a pocket passing quarterback who scoffs at those who try to stop them. Brooks's frame is what stands out most to anyone looking at him, standing tall and strong, making him a big force in the pocket. Brooks has a bazooka for an arm and can launch balls down the field and can more often than not find his target with little ability to get the ball there. Brooks is most stationary in the pocket, while he can move around and create separation from pass rushers that are coming after. He fits into a combo of a game manager and pocket passer of sorts, being able to read defenses and provide important reads to dismantle defenses. Brooks should be getting some consistent snaps for a Madison team that has been nothing short of dominant these past few years and will be surrounded by weapons that are ready to help him succeed.

[player_tooltip player_id='210632' first='Roland' last='Sedlacek'] - Custer, 6'3" 180lbs, OLB/RB

Sedlacek is a beast on the defense side of the ball who has a high floor in his style of play and can only improve with the tools he has. Sedlacek can function well as a utility linebacker who can give you a style of play that is very team orientated. Sedlacek is a pass rusher who uses his size combined with his footwork and finesse moves to create separation and blow by blockers to get sacks. Sedlacek in coverage scenarios is serviceable, but his biggest strength is not in coverage, it is in an ability to know what is going on in the game and tell his teammates how to adapt. Sedlacek can adapt and change depending on what the offense is trying to stop him with, he can adjust his style of play and what he is doing to get sacks and stop the offense in his tracks. Sedlacek is a power rusher on the offensive sides of the ball, excelling in general goal line and short yardage scenarios to get first downs and touchdowns on the goal line. Sedlacek's prowess and potential seem to mostly lie on the other side of the ball and only can go up with his defensive talents as a player.

Trillion Sorrell - Vermillion, 5'10" 140lbs, WR/CB/ATH

Sorrell is poised to have a big year this upcoming season simply for what seems to be the natural talents that he seems to possess. Sorrell fits into what we see as the prototypical athlete role, with this year hoping to fit into some key skill positions for his team. Sorrell on the offensive side of the ball would fit in well as a speedy, deep threat style of receiver who can create separation and have the ability to burn defenders into the open field. His footwork and speed will seem to be his biggest weapon, while not having the most strength, he makes up for that in grit and skill ability. His ability to run routes and break away will be exciting to see this year for a Vermillion offense. On defense, he slots in well as a cornerback who can stick to his man like glue and allow very little separation to anyone that he can match up with. Sorrell will be a great addition to a team that needs speed and grit, no matter on what side of the ball we will see Sorrell on, his impact will be important no matter what role you want to put him in.
