Analysis: Muskegon fell to River Rouge in last year’s state finals, but they certainly have the talent coming back that can help them reach Ford Field once again. Senior [player_tooltip player_id="29610" first="Amari" last="Crowley"] will be the man under center, but he is an outstanding athlete that can be used all over the field. Senior Dedrick Fondren II and junior Dominic Sugin form a solid backfield and players like Jamarrius Dickerson, [player_tooltip player_id="29950" first="Tayvid" last="Elmore"] and [player_tooltip player_id="30212" first="Duane" last="Anderson"] will pave the way up front. The Big Reds return one of the top safety tandems in the state in [player_tooltip player_id="29598" first="Tyreese" last="Oakes"] and [player_tooltip player_id="29605" first="Julius" last="Sims"], but cornerback [player_tooltip player_id="30158" first="Myles" last="Walton"] is another big name to watch in the back seven. The best defensive talent on Muskegon’s roster may be up front as junior [player_tooltip player_id="30136" first="Dametrius" last="Walker"] has garnered plenty of Power 5 interest. Muskegon is a big-time program that returns a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, which should be enough to get them another shot at the state title.
