Continue ReadingToday, we’re looking at Missouri’s top hog mollies in the 2024 class. Each prospect featured on this list contributed at the varsity level last fall and showed plenty of upside. Their recruitments vary, some having already garnered power-five offers, to others who have yet to even take a visit to a school. I do think, however, that with a big junior campaign, we could see some stocks rise quite quickly from this group. Each prospect featured has their own unique skill set that will continue to be fine-tuned as the season goes on. With all of that being said, here are my top Missouri 2024 offensive linemen entering this fall.
Talan Chandler Talan Chandler 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Nevada | 2024 State MO , 6’4″ 260, Nevada
- Wins the leverage battle with consistent pad level for four quarters.
- Bends well at the knees and ankles.
- Has some feisty in him.
- Shows the speed and body control to block out in space.
- Will be a four-year varsity starter when it’s all said and done.
Andrew Sprague Andrew Sprague 6'8" | 260 lbs | OL Rockhurst | 2024 State MO , 6’8″ 250, Rockhurst
- A dominant run blocker at the point of attack.
- Towers over interior defensive linemen.
- Has the pop to stun his opponent on contact.
- Knee drive is ongoing until the whistle is blown.
- Hands are like grappling hooks, making him a tough blocker to shed.
Dontrell Holt Dontrell Holt 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Joplin | 2024 State MO , 6’5″ 285, Joplin
- Explosive out of his stance.
- Hips are fluid, leading to extensive success as a pass protector.
- Plays with an attitude.
- Has a habit of winning the hand placement battle off the snap.
- Projects as a guard at the next level.
Drew Swingle Drew Swingle 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Eureka | 2024 State MO , 6’4″ 270, Eureka
- Plenty of play strength on tape.
- A natural working zone double teams.
- An extremely effective second-level blocker.
- Down blocks often drive opposing defensive linemen out of their gaps.
- Upper body strength allows him to throw around defenders.
Bryce Parson Bryce Parson 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL CBC | 2024 State MO , 6’3″ 250, Christian Brothers
- Takes quality angles to the block.
- Raw, but has a ton of god-given physical ability.
- Has proven to be a dominant man blocker.
- His vertical set is straight back with tight hands & a low anchor.
- Knows how to catch defenders lunging.
Brody Smith Brody Smith 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Jefferson City | 2024 State MO , 6’5″ 275, Jefferson City
- Will flat-out bury defenders when given the opportunity.
- Gets his eyes inside as a second perimeter puller.
- Keeps his feet moving after initial contact is made.
- Hands have some jolt behind them.
- Was a menace on the defensive side of the football, using his quickness to cause a ton of penetration in 2021.
