The program has been another top Massachusetts program being led by a veteran Head Coach “John Dibiaso”. Coming off an undefeated season and Div. 2 state championship, the Knights should be confident about themselves. The 2021 team was loaded with Juniors who will return again in fall 2022 as seniors. They are determined to compete for another State Championship. Many of these rising senior recruits have been handed verbal scholarship offers and there are college commitments being publicly posted.
Team Overview: The 2022 Knights Team is destined live up to the winning standard brought into the program. The Knights always rebuild with quality known athletes and this year is no difference. As we look forward to 2022, CM is loaded again. An informal count of returning starters has about 17 of the 22 positions returning. This was a junior-dominated team that will only be better with more experience.
2021 Season Results: Last year we never got to see the dream matchup in the state of the #1 Knights against the No. 2 team Springfield Central. But the Knights were great to see. They scored 40 or more points in every game but one. The offense was the highlight of the team, and the defense was somewhat underrated by many. The resume the Knights compiled was impressive.
Toughest Losses to Graduation: Kyle King (FB/LB = Springfield College, Jack Sokol (K) = Trinity, Devon Marshall (DB) = Villanova, Tommy Crean (OL) Undecided, Ed Ellis (OL) = Undecided

Championship History:
Prior to 2021 Season 42-18 win over King Philip in the Div. 2 state title game at Gillette Stadium, Catholic Memorial appeared in the state title game in 2018 and 2019, but hadn’t seen the trophy come it’s way since 1978. For a lot of the players who remember coming up short the past two times on this stage, the revenge tour had been in the works for three or four years. The school, however, had been waiting 43 years for a run like this.
