Jernegan is an active and instinctual LB with great anticipatory skills. He’s 6’2” 215 lbs. that can run the field laterally and be a sideline to sideline playmaker. Shows good acceleration and change of direction to redirect and burst out of his breaks. Love his quick trigger in response to his key and play diagnosis. Great nose for the football, he can fight through contact or weave his way through blockers to get to the ball carrier and make a tackle. Flies up to attack the ball and is a heavy striker that explodes through contact with leverage and contact balance. Finished the season with 120 total tackles including 81 solo and four interceptions. Also shows good versatility playing TE. No offers to date but possesses a strong and well-rounded expect that should land him that initial offer before long.
