<strong>LAKE MARY FOOTBALL</strong><strong> 2022</strong>
<strong>Head Coach:</strong> Scott Perry
<strong>2021 Record:</strong> 10-2
<strong>THE RAMS</strong>
If it weren't for Sanford Seminole, this is a program that could have run the entire table in 2021.
What this program did was race out to a perfect 7-0 start – with wins against Lakeland Lake Gibson (15-14), Winter Park (38-14), Altamonte Springs Lake Brantley (38-6), Orlando Dr. Phillips (38-3), DeLand (44-20), Longwood Lyman (49-14) and Flagler Palm Coast (27-6) before dropping a 29-12 decision to the Seminoles. Then, wins over Oviedo (21-6) and Deltona (35-8) set the tone for the playoffs – a 20-14 first-round win against Orlando Timber Creek before the second loss of the season to Seminole, 18-7).
While many would love to win 10 games, the goals when the year began was to make it to the state title game. The Rams fell short.
With a number of graduating seniors from last year, it was back to the drawing board – as the spring and off-season have produced new leaders and catalysts.
Here is a look at some of the prospects have a chance to be special this coming year:
