Many prospects inside our recently updated 2023 rankings are beginning to make their future collegiate intentions known. In this piece, we will highlight hard/verbal commitments to the ACC and BIG12 conferences, specifically Top-100 prospects out of Pennsylvania. We at Prep Redzone congratulate each and every one of these young men and wish each nothing but the best along their long journey ahead.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140968" first="Tyrese" last="Whitaker"] | 6’3, 230 | DL | Northeast | Temple</strong></span></em></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="146545" first="Kyle" last="Williams"] | 6’0, 185 | ATH | Harrisburg | Temple</strong></span></em></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248113" first="Conlan" last="Greene"] | 6’4, 250 | DL | Penn-Trafford | Temple</strong></span></em></span>
Not enough is being said about the job Temple has done in the state. Strictly from a Pennsylvania perspective, this is a hell of a trio of commits to build around and should only help the program bring more talent into Philadelphia. Yes, nationally these three names might not shake the earth, they do however, shake the state. All three prospects land in our Top-50, this being the first time Temple has secured more than one Top-50 prospect in a single recruiting class. The interesting part of this, is the ground Temple is covering, as all three prospects hail from each third of the state, Eastern, Central, and Western.
[player_tooltip player_id="140968" first="Tyrese" last="Whitaker"] acts as the highest-ranking Temple commit out of Pennsylvania and is close to being the top 2023 get for the program as a whole. Whitaker is certainly the best linebacker the Owls have scooped up thus far. Temple’s 2023 recruiting class won’t fill for some time, yet we project that the program might not see a better talent in the front seven outside of Whitaker. Nonetheless, the former Archbishop Wood product won’t be traveling far after the conclusion of his senior campaign at Northeast High School.
A few spots below Whitaker on our latest 2023 rankings update, enter Harrisburg’s [player_tooltip player_id="146545" first="Kyle" last="Williams"]. I have had the pleasure of seeing Williams perform at 7v7 camps throughout the years, I am happy to say I’ll get to see the Central Pennsylvania senior pursue football further in Philadelphia. Temple’s early recruiting haul is heavy with wide receiver talent, as the Owls have already secured Richard Dandridge out of Florida and Nathan Stewart out of Maryland. Throw in the Hun School’s Preston Everhart and you have three legit wideouts in pocket for Temple. Williams provides such a wide range of skillsets; he will be a welcomed addition in that wideout group or in the running backs room. Who knows, they might make room for Williams as a defensive back. Time will tell. Great get for the program here.
Last but certainly not least is State Champion [player_tooltip player_id="248113" first="Conlan" last="Greene"]. Penn-Trafford’s senior defensive linemen has shot up our ranks in a flash. The young man opened our eyes to just how dominant he can be, showing up to our Spring showcase camp and taking home Top-Performer honors. We knew he’d come and show out, I fully expect him to do the same this Fall. Temple reached out to the Western Pennsylvania stud, just five days after the official visit Greene made his decision to commit. Safe to say Temple’s recruiting coordinators know how to cook up a visit. Congrats to all three prospects!

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="160523" first="Raion" last="Strader"] | 6’0, 170 | DB | Penn-Hills | Miami (OH)</strong></span></em></span>
Raion Stader is currently the second corner to commit to Miami of Ohio, Strader being the first to do so early in June. Since his June 8th commitment, MOH has secured another corner out of Georgia, Devon Rainey. Strader might be one of the more under-rated prospects amongst the relatively small 2023 Miami has put together. Many outside of Pennsylvania might not know how talented he is, thankfully, we are aware.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="87841" first="Joseph" last="Enick"] | 6’3, 260 | DL | Penn-Trafford | Central Michigan</strong></span></em></span>
Central Michigan has clearly prioritized interior offensive linemen. [player_tooltip player_id="87841" first="Joseph" last="Enick"] is now the fourth IOL to commit to Central Michigan, joining Michigan’s John Burke and Matthew Nehf. Central Michigan’s biggest addition might be the prospect they nabbed all the way from the west coast, that being Arizona’s Ryan Blum. All four of these IOL/DL have committed to the loaded CMU program this past June.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="320980" first="Spencer" last="Kishbaugh"] | 6’3, 200 | LB | Berwick | Kent State</strong></span></em></span>
Commitments have been somewhat hard to come by for Kent State, when compared to rival programs. [player_tooltip player_id="320980" first="Spencer" last="Kishbaugh"] is one of our favorite prospects who recently made his debut into the top 100 on our 2023 updated rankings. The jump in stock comes just in time, as the Kent State commit looks to wow the coaching staffs as much as he has wowed us this offseason.
