We’ve seen plenty of receivers in particular tear up nearby college camps, maning either new offers have come or are soon on the way.
Here are some 2024 receiver who are seeing their stock rise this summer…
Sacovie White Sacovie White 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Cass | 2024 State GA – Cass
One of the top 2024 two-way players in North Georgia, White showed big-play ability and really impressed during Georgia’s 7-on-7 camp this week, earning an offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs before leaving campus. The dynamic wideout showed the ability to snag thee ball out of the air and knows how to jump over defenders in jump-ball situations. He’s put on a good bit of muscle recently, so even as a rising junior, he looks the part of a future SEC receiver. He’s always had impressive speed, and he used it during the camp to consistently get enough behind the defense for a big plays At 5-foot-10 165-pounds, White is agile, quick, and has shown that he’s one of the top young pass catchers in the 2024 class. He was excellent in the Georgia Elite Classic game back in December, catching five passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. He’s dangerous with the ball in his hands, plays bigger than his size, and knows how to break tackles. He can change directions well, and he’s an excellent open field runner when he has space. Look for more offers to come his way sooner than later.
Debron Gatling Debron Gatling 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Milton | 2024 State GA – Milton
Already known across the state as one of the best receivers in the 2024 class, Gatling is a smooth route runner with good size and reliable hands. He’ll be a guy who can play both ways for the Milton Eagles this year, but his ability to make plays at receiver is what makes him one of the state’s best. The 6-foot-1 185-pounder has excellent speed and ran an an unofficial 4.54 in the 40-yard dash at a recent camp, Gatling has shown his explosiveness during the camp season so far, and after reviewing his tape, Gatling earned an offer from his “dream school”, the University of Alabama. The Tide only offer the best, and they felt comfortable extending an offer to the Milton Eagle standout. As a sophomore last season, Gatling 36 passes for 705 yards and 11 touchdowns. Look for those number to improve as a junior this fall.
Myles Abernathy Myles Abernathy 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Peachtree Ridge | 2024 State GA – Peachtree Ridge
A long, athletic receiver out of Gwinnett County bound for a breakout sophomore season, Abernathy is an impressive-looking playmaker at 6-foot-4 180-pounds. He’s a down-field threat with above average speed for his size, but his hands and body control have stood out the most during the camp and 7-on-7 circuit this month. He’s a big target for the Lions in the passing game and he’s turning more and more into a polished receiver with each camp. He’s finding ways to get open, but even if covered tightly, he has enough size to make contested catches over smaller defenders. He works the sideline and back of the end-zone well, showing good footwork when he needs to stay inbounds. He’s one of the top 2024 receivers in Gwinnett County and has a chance to have a dominant season as a junior this year.
