<strong>THE MARAUDERS</strong>
In many ways, the 2021 season was truly a success for a program that never got down and kept coming at the opposition.
Between the opening night loss to Tampa Berkeley Prep (35-21) and s second-round setback (36-22) against the same team, which finished second among 3A schools, this team came together and played competitive football team with many prospects who are returning in 2022.
Despite that loss to Berkeley Prep in the state playoffs, 6A state champion Tampa Jesuit and Bradenton Braden River, things fell into place.
Wins against Ocala Trinity Catholic (38-19), Tampa Catholic (38-21), St. Petersburg Catholic (42-0), state playoff teams Sebring (21-7), Fort Myers Gateway (56-0), Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian (38-23), Fort Myers Bishop Verot (44-14) and Tampa Catholic (31-7) in the first round of the state playoffs gave this program plenty of recognition and gave them confidence, heading into this coming season.
