Class of 2021: Bishop Miege

The 2019 was a great season to say the least for the the Stags of Bishop Miege.  They finished the season 11-2 and won the 4A state championship.  The ’19 state championship was their 10^th overall and 6^th in a row.  Many key players from the 2019 state championship team are returning for the 2020 season.  There are 3 players in the KS top 200 class of 2021 with all of them in the top 85.   QB [player_tooltip player_id="35377" first="Timothy" last="Dorsey"] 6’1 185-  [player_tooltip player_id="35377" first="Timothy" last="Dorsey"] is ranked 36^th  and the #5 QB.  In ’19, he threw for 3,026 yds with 45 TD and 6 INT.  He also added 193 rushing yds and 4 rushing TD.  He sees the field very well, makes great decisions and delivers short, intermediate and deep passes with excellent touch and pinpoint accuracy.  He is a good athlete showing the ability to elude defenders while in the pocket and on the move.   OLB [player_tooltip player_id="35420" first="Jack" last="Kincaid"] 6’3 216- [player_tooltip player_id="35420" first="Jack" last="Kincaid"] is ranked as the 80^th overall and the number 13 LB.  He displays very good instincts and closing speed as he quickly takes the correct angle to the ball carrier and uses his play strength in his lower body and core to negate the forward progress and drive through the RB,QB or WR tackling them with force.  Shows good range as he is able to play SL to SL displaying a good motor as he plays until the whistle. While in coverage, he uses his football intelligence and play speed to stay in phase with the TE on seam routes.  Shows good ball skills as he tracks the football when the ball is in the air and displays good hands coming down with the interception.  In addition, he consistently shows the ability to time his jump when the ball is thrown and knocks the ball down at the LOS.   TE [player_tooltip player_id="35424" first="Mack" last="Moeller"] 6’2 190-  [player_tooltip player_id="35424" first="Mack" last="Moeller"] is ranked  84^thoverall and the number 2 TE.  He is a good route runner as he uses his quickness and hip fluidity to break off his stem at a 45 or 90 degree angle on slants, flats and out routes and uses his play speed to get behind the defender on fades and go routes.  He displays good hands showing good manual dexterity to make off target catches that are behind him or over his head.  An effective blocker as he plays at a good pad level while using his hands to drive the DB or LB off the ball on running plays and screens.   Other seniors to watch-  WR Trey Ausler (6’1 165), OL Hayden Thilges (6’0 250)
