Tylik Hill Tylik Hill 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Pope John | 2025 State NJ , the second-ranked running back in this class according to PrepRedZone, remains one of the top uncommitted talents in the state. Fresh off a phenomenal season that saw him earn New Jersey Athletics Player of the Year honors, Tylik carried Pope John to the state championship game against DePaul. In that game, he left no doubt about his ability to shine under the spotlight, rushing for over 200 yards. His senior season ended with nearly 2,000 rushing yards, solidifying his reputation as one of New Jersey’s most dynamic playmakers.

Tylik’s skill set is electric. He has unmatched elusiveness, making defenders miss in space with ease. His one-on-one moves are arguably the best in the state, forcing missed tackles with his shiftiness and quick footwork. Beyond his elusiveness, Tylik has elite open-field speed, making him a threat to score on any play. He doesn’t just excel as a runner, though; Tylik is also a weapon in the passing game, where his ability to catch out of the backfield keeps defenses guessing and makes him a nightmare to defend.

Despite three Division I offers from UMass, Rhode Island, and now Syracuse, Tylik’s recruitment remains in flux, particularly with UMass undergoing a head coaching change. However, with the transfer portal frenzy winding down, his film and production will surely catch the eyes of additional Division I programs. Carrying nearly 80% of Pope John’s offensive workload this season, Tylik showcased his complete skill set: vision, acceleration, and versatility.

Once college coaches examine his ability to break tackles and create explosive plays, Tylik’s recruitment will undoubtedly heat up. He’s a game-changing back ready to make an impact at the next level.

As I had correctly anticipated my game preview piece, Coach Gaston and I were aligned that they would win the game if Tylik Hill Tylik Hill 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Pope John | 2025 State NJ was featured heavily. Hill gave a valiant effort in the defeat, leading all players with a game-high 33 touches. Those touches rendered a net of 188 yards and 3 scores in the process.

A back I truly enjoyed watching over the last several years, Hill concludes his career with 640 carries for 4398 yards, and 46 touchdowns. My understanding is that Hill’s recruitment is still open. Although I am not sure why teams have yet to offer, someone is going to get themselves a steal.

The senior running back carried the ball 32 times for 175 yards and three touchdowns, including a dazzling 67-yard score. Hill became their offensive lifeline, with Pope John struggling to find explosive plays in the passing game. His blend of game-breaking speed and one-on-one elusiveness in the open field was fully displayed. Hill’s best football is still ahead of him as his frame develops. Uncommitted, any program that lands him will secure a dynamic and game-changing running back.

The senior running back put together an electrifying performance, rushing for over 200 yards and scoring three impressive touchdowns. His elusive moves and game-breaking speed were displayed as he did everything possible to keep Pope John in the game. Hill proved he could be a one-man catalyst in the run game, consistently making big plays. While he has yet to commit to a school, any program that lands him will get a true difference-maker at the running back position.

I’ve been saying it for years now; Tylik Hill Tylik Hill 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Pope John | 2025 State NJ is arguably the best running back in the entire state. A player that doesn’t get enough recognition for his efforts, Tylik’s most recent outing will hopefully help draw attention from prominent programs. In the 48-14 win over St. John Vianney, Tylik was the main ingredient for a dominant offensive performance. With only 13 carries, Tylik ran loose for 234 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. What’s most impressive is the distance he went for each touchdown. Finding the end zone from 36, 54, and 55 yards out, Tylik’s speed was on full display as he dashed past defenders on his way to pay dirt. Tylik has impressed all season long, as he now has 2150 yards on the ground for the year and has found the end zone 24 times. Next week we are in for something special, as the two best backs in the state, Tylik Hill Tylik Hill 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Pope John | 2025 State NJ and Nolan James Nolan James 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB DePaul Catholic | 2025 State NJ Jr., battle it out for a state title.
