New players emerged in the latest update, and there are plenty of rising sophomore offensive tackles who are starting to make a name for themselves across Georgia. Here are some offensive tackles who have seen their stock rise in recent weeks and in the latest<a href="https://prepredzone.com/2022/05/new-2025-rankings-are-up-heres-who-was-added-7/"> 2025</a><a href="https://prepredzone.com/georgia/rankings/2024-rankings/"> Prep Redzone Georgia Rankings</a>. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137475" first="Daniel" last="Calhoun"] - Centennial</strong> Coming in at No. 4 overall in the state of Georgia and the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect, Daniel is a mammoth tackle prospect with power and size. Physically, it’s hard to find another tackle in the 2024 class who looks better than Calhoun. The young Roswell native already looks like a D1 offensive lineman thanks to his gigantic 6-foot-5 340-pound frame. He’s huge, more more importantly, he’s strong and moves well for his size. The big man has impressive footwork for his size and has exceptional lower-body strength. He’s an absolute mauler in the run game, making him a possible interior guard at the next level. He holds the edge and can overpower opposing edge defenders due to his size and raw power, and as he continues to develop as a pass-protector, Calhoun could push for 5-star status down the road in the 2024 class. He currently holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, among others. &nbsp; &nbsp; </div> </div> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="220735" first="Caleb" last="Holmes"] - Creekside</strong> Coming in at No. 36 in the state and the No. 2 OT prospect, Holmes is without a doubt one of the top tackle prospects in Atlanta for any classification. A lean but physical offensive lineman, Holmes stands at 6-foot-3 285-pounds with a long frame that will allow him to add more muscle and mass over the next two years. He bowled over defensive linemen all fall, playing with a solid base and punishing opposing defenders in the run game. He also does a nice job of using leverage to get underneath the defenders pads. He’s a true road-grader in the run game and is only going to get strong over the next few years. He has a great frame, he moves well, and he can pull around and get to the next level. There’s a lot to like, and he has a great chance to climb the 2024 Rankings later this year. He dominates at the level of ball he’s currently playing at, but his length, power, and ability to play either guard or tackle at the next level could help him see some offers come his way down the road. He’s a mauler in the run game and knows how to push his opponent backwards. Davidson shows a strong initial punch and gets the opposing defender off balance right off the snap. Once he gets his hands and long arms on someone, he makes it tough to get off his block. He’s still developing and doesn’t play against the most talented competition, but it’s easy to see his D1 talent. He also shows impressive footwork for his size and is expected to dominate once again in 2022 as a junior in the fall. He plays for an outstanding Cartersville program who knows how to win big. He’s an excellent young prospect and one the Cartersville staff feels great about for the next two seasons. The 6-foot-6 290-pounder is starting to see his recruitment take off. He does a good job of finishing blocks and playing until the whistle. He plays with strong hands and leverage, so when he locks onto a defender, he’s putting him on his back. He gets to the second level consistently for his size and can really set the edge and open up running lanes on the outside. His long frame allows him to be a promising pass protector as well, and he’s only get better and develop the right way for the next two years. He’s absolutely a 2024 OL prospect to keep an eye on over the next several months and has earned recent offers from Nebraska, Arkansas, Penn State, among others. Toliver is ranked as the No. 46 overall prospect in Georgia and the No. 4 OT prospect in the Prep Redzone Rankings. </div> </div> &nbsp; </div>
