Since 2010, Tennessee and Kentucky have been meeting each June in the annual Future Stars Game. The bordering states have a deep rivalry, but a deeper respect for each other. Kentucky recently invited a few more athletes into what they call the #Brotherhood. Here's a look at the 2026 Wide Receivers selected for Team Kentucky eighth grade. [player_tooltip player_id="283968" first="Isaiah" last="Jackson"] | Rock Castle There's a lot to be excited about with Jackson on the outside for the Kentucky Future Stars. He has good length and is a very good athlete overall. Our scouts saw him back in November and loved what they saw out of him as a Defensive Back. At this level a versatile athlete like Jackson would be welcomed on any team. [player_tooltip player_id="212336" first="Marlon" last="Harbin"] | W.E.B. DuBois Academy Plain and simple, Harbin is one of the top prospects in the class of 2026. Not just in Kentucky, but the entire country. Also elite on the basketball court and on the track, Harbin is a kid I'm very high on. I'm a little surprised they don't have him selected as a Running Back, however, having him lined up as a Wide Receiver gives the offense so many options. He will do something jaw-dropping in this game. [player_tooltip player_id="212338" first="Trey" last="Sedgwick"] | Madisonville The rich get richer on the outside for the Kentucky Future Stars, as they welcome back Sedgwick to the Future Stars team this year. Last year all Sedgwick did was win the offensive MVP of this game and put the nation on notice. Love his toughness and willingness to go across the middle. He's gnat-like with his quickness and can make defenders miss in a phone booth. Dequoria Warner | W.E.B. DuBois Academy A regular season teammate of the above-mentioned Harbin, Warner is another kid who can get loose quickly. He's a smaller athlete around 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds, but defenders can't hit what they can't touch. He took a lot of snaps at Running Back this past season, but he can easily be moved out to the slot. With him and Sedgwick, Kentucky has two very quick options on the outside. Lane Harding | Bracken County Harding, a returner from last year's Future Stars team, is a rough and tough, possession Wide Receiver, that will keep the chains moving for the Kentucky Future Stars. Nothing flashy or fancy in his game, he just plays the game with a workman like mentality. Can make the tough catches in traffic if asked to do so. He'll make the important catches when his number is called. Steron Davidson Jr. | Jefferson County Yet another returner from last year's seventh grade team, Davidson Jr. is no stranger to the big state of the Kentucky Future Stars. Another shorter, quicker receiver, Davidson Jr. makes up for his lack of size by being able to absolutely fly down field. Sporting difference-making straight-line speed, he also has a very impressive vertical, which allows him to compete for most 50/50 balls. Evan Livers | St. Rita Livers will become a St. Rita Colt next fall when he hits high school. However, before attempting to help turn around a 2-8 Varsity team from a year ago, Livers will take the field for one last middle school game as a member of the Kentucky Future Stars. This is my first time hearing about Livers, so I'm looking forward to seeing what brings to the table. Daelen Thompson | Johnson Middle Stop me if you've heard this before: The Kentucky Future Stars have yet another small, shifty Wide Receiver that can also play Running Back. Also one of the best ball handling point guards I've seen in the 2026 class, Thompson is a promising athlete that can create mismatches for the defense. During his regular season he was frequently used in short motion, which opened up a lot of space.
