Quarterbacks
1. Gentry Williams Gentry Williams 6'0" | DB Booker T Washington | 2022 State OK : 6’0″ 170 Lbs., Booker T Washington, Class of 2022
Gentry Williams Gentry Williams 6'0" | DB Booker T Washington | 2022 State OK is a world-class athlete who is still getting bigger and stronger. As a passer, he is still relatively raw but shows that his ceiling is through the roof. As a runner, he shows elite speed and fluidity that is backed up by his track and field background. As a freshman, Gentry won the 6a state title in the 400-meter dash and placed second in the 200-meter dash. As of now, he is looked at by many as an athlete on the football field who may play corner at the next level. However, he still has two seasons left to play and I believe he could turn into a true division 1 caliber dual-threat QB by the time he graduates.
2. Mason Williams Mason Williams 5'10" | QB Bixby | 2021 State OK : 5’11″ 175 Lbs., Bixby, Class of 2021
When you watch Mason Williams Mason Williams 5'10" | QB Bixby | 2021 State OK and then look at his career accomplishments it is befuddling that he has not garnered more attention from college coaches. In his career, Williams has thrown for over 6700 yards, 83 TDs, and has completed 71% of his passes, all while going 24-1 as a starter en route to back to back state championships. Williams is a smart and efficient QB who wins with touch and timing and has a unique ability to throw his receivers open rather than waiting for a window to open up. With a few of his receivers and star runningback Braylin Presley Braylin Presley 5'9" | RB Bixby | 2022 State OK returning this season, Williams and Bixby are among the favorites to win the state championship again in 2020. Maybe the third time’s the charm for Williams to get the recognition he deserves.
Honorable Mentions: Caleb Allen Caleb Allen 6'4" | QB Stillwater | 2021 State OK : 6’4″ 170 Lbs., Stillwater, Class of 2021 | Ty Williams Ty Williams 6'2" | DB Muskogee | 2021 State OK : 6’1″ 185 Lbs., Muskogee, Class of 2021
Runningbacks
1. Qwontrel Walker Qwontrel Walker 5'8" | RB Stillwater | 2021 State OK : 5’9″ 200 Lbs. , Stillwater, Class of 2021
Walker is a 2-year starter for the Pioneers who will look add to his already impressive career rushing total of over 5000 yards in 2020. Walker isn’t the tallest or fastest back standing at 5’7″, but what he may lack in speed, for the time being, is easily made up with his power. Walker is a very tough runner who rarely goes down on first contact and shows exceptional one-cut running ability. If he can show improvement this season in the passing game there’s no reason Qwontrel Walker Qwontrel Walker 5'8" | RB Stillwater | 2021 State OK shouldn’t get some serious division 1 looks.
2. Braylin Presley Braylin Presley 5'9" | RB Bixby | 2022 State OK : 5’9″ 175 Lbs., Bixby, Class of 2022
Braylin is the little brother of former Bixby standout receiver Brennan Presley who is now at Oklahoma State. However, Braylin may end up a better player than his brother by the time he graduates. As a sophomore, Braylin had a huge breakout season, rushing for 1386 yards and recording 29 total touchdowns between rushes, receptions, and returns. Presley is off to an incredible start to his career and is expected to pick up right where he left off last season as Bixby returns star QB Mason Williams Mason Williams 5'10" | QB Bixby | 2021 State OK along with a few other key starters on offense.
Honorable Mentions: Lajuan Brown Lajuan Brown 5'9" | RB Del City | 2021 OK : 5’9″ 170 Lbs., Del City, Class of 2021 | Corey Williams: 5’10″ 180 Lbs., Choctaw, Class of 2021
Wide Receivers
1. Chase Jackson Chase Jackson 6'1" | WR Choctaw | 2021 State OK : 6’2″ 170 Lbs., Choctaw, Class of 2021
Chase Jackson Chase Jackson 6'1" | WR Choctaw | 2021 State OK is a receiver with great size at 6’2″ who thrives in both jump ball situations and in the open field after the catch. Choctaw loves to get him the ball in multiple ways such as jet sweeps and reverses to get him in space. Jackson not only has the size and intangibles, but the production to back up his game. In 2019, he had over 1300 yds and 17 TDs. Jackson will be fun to watch this year and for the years to follow at TCU where he is currently committed.
2. Steven Brown Steven Brown 5'10" | WR Stillwater | 2021 State OK : 6’0″ 160 Lbs., Stillwater, Class of 2021
As you’ve noticed by now, Stillwater is loaded on offense this season with all 3 of their top skill players on this list. Brown is a speedster with elite straight-line speed who I expect runs in the high 4.4 or low 4.5 range in the 40-yard dash. Brown abused safeties and corners all season in 2019 with his burst and acceleration on slants, bang 8’s, and double moves. He had 889 yards and 12 TDs in 2019 and will likely have a lot more this season as he is primed to be Stillwater’s number one wideout.
Honorable Mentions: Sherrod Davis Sherrod Davis 6'3" | WR Del City | 2021 State OK : 6’3″ 210 Lbs., Del City, Class of 2021 | Braeden Winters Braeden Winters 6'2" | LB Bartlesville | 2021 State OK : 6’2″ 230 Lbs., Bartlesville, Class of 2021
Offensive Lineman
1. Jacob Sexton Jacob Sexton 6'6" | OL Deer Creek | 2022 State OK : 6’6″ 295 Lbs., Deer Creek, Class of 2022
Sexton is easily the top offensive lineman in the class of 2022 and is one of the best in the state overall. After only one season of starting he already has offers from over 15 division 1 colleges. He is a dominant lineman who knows how to use his size, strength, and speed to out leverage defenders and drive them off the ball. He is already an elite talent at such a young age, it will truly be fun to watch him improve even more over the next two seasons.
2. Lance Petermann Lance Petermann 6'5" | OL Stillwater | 2021 State OK : 6’5″ 275 Lbs., Stillwater, Class of 2021
Along with the other Pioneers on this list, Lance Petermann Lance Petermann 6'5" | OL Stillwater | 2021 State OK is at the top of his position heading into this season. Petermann is an excellent run blocker and an above-average pass blocker who showed encouraging improvement as the season progressed in 2019. Lance has a few division 1 offers already and I expect him to gain a few more by the end of his senior season.
Honorable Mentions: Cade McConnell Cade McConnell 6'5" | OL Choctaw | 2022 State OK : 6’6″ 280 Lbs., Choctaw, Class of 2021 | Landon Varner Landon Varner 6'3" | OL Ponca City | 2021 OK : 6’3″ 295 Lbs., Ponca City, Class of 2021
