Won DL MVP
Travion was one that grabbed my attention quickly as I just happened to look up and catch him run the L-Drill clocking a 7.59 showing how well he moves. That time was top for his position group and amongst the top at the camp including skill position players. He then followed that up with a 4.52 pro shuttle, a 4.75 40-yard dash and a 9’7″ broad jump. Dude had a heck of a day testing, but wasn’t done. I didn’t get to catch him go through many drills but during 1v1s he was the biggest standout on the defensive line. With the twitch, explosion and speed he brings off the edge mixed with the hand usage he displayed, he was just too much for the OTs in attendance to handle. Those hands of his are violent but he also displayed a nice dip move you see in the tweet below and multiple counter moves when he didn’t win initially off the ball. Even though he’s 6-foot, he does bring length on his arms, and with the traits he displayed mixed with the testing numbers he put up, he could be used in a number of ways, rather as a stand up OLB or even as an ILB.

Gabriel Hernandez Gabriel Hernandez 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Lumberton | 2023 State TX – 2023 iOL/DT – 6’3″/275 – Lumberton, TX (Lumberton):

On the offensive line side of things, Hernandez was the standout with next level potential and ability. Bringing a thick base and solid build up top, the ability to roll his hips and showing the strength to anchor on multiple reps on the day. Lining up at LT and C he showed his versatility on the offensive side. Where I was most impressed with him though was at center, which is where I expect him to play at the next level with the build, physicality/strength at the point of attack, and feet he displayed. He also showed he could recover when initially giving up leverage off the snap quickly resetting those hands into the rib cage to get leverage, dug those feet in and brought those hips. However, he also took reps on the defensive side lining up as a 1-tech at times and even kicking out to defensive end and handled his business in those reps as well showcasing a nice spin back inside on one and then a swim move you see in the tweet below. On top of everything else though, this dude brought great energy to the camp as he was the most fired up prospect amongst the trench group and others fed off of it at times. He already held an offer from Austin Peay coming into this camp but shortly after Lamar and Northwestern State followed suit. But expect more will follow!

Other Notables –
Jordan McQueen – 2024 NG/iOL – 5’11″/290 – Cypress, TX (Cypress Ranch)
Twitter – @Jor_Mcq_99
McQueen is a thicker prospect with a powerfully built lower half as well that was on full display during 1v1s when I really got the chance to see him up close. Lining up on both the offensive and defensive side at the camp he showed impressive ability on both sides. On the offensive side, he showcased impressive agility and quick feet even lining up at OT at times and holding his own. Lining up inside at OG though he was able to utilize that natural leverage he brings and powerful hands that made him a tough matchup on the day even showing a nice snatch move during 1 rep putting a kid on his face. When he flipped over to DT though he showed an explosive get off, flashed a nastiness at the point of attack and was a load to handle with his low center of gravity and power he brings. He is one to keep your eye on moving forward as I’ll be interested to see if he adds another inch of two of height on his frame. Be that as it may, I like his potential more on the defensive side at this time.
Yesterday at the prep redzone camp I got to dominate on both sides of the ball. I’m still working to improve my game but we coming I promise.@PrepRedzoneTX @HT4_PrepRZ @cyranchfootball pic.twitter.com/ho47ubKkkx

Reid Robinson – 2023 iOL – 5’11″/245 – Dripping Springs, TX (Dripping Springs)

Won OL MVP
This dude put on a DAWG of a performance at the camp as I think I only saw him lose 1-rep on the day. This was while lining up mostly at RT during 1v1s. Just stalemated rushers rep after rep on the day with the physicality he brings putting on a gritty, flat out consistent performance that was fun to watch that earned him OL MVP of the camp. Believe on the day he gave the only L to the top DL prospect in attendance. At his size, he projects either at center, if he can put on the needed weight or even as a FB. This is of course, barring a growth spurt.
