Evaluating QB’s can be difficult because of the wide range of factors that go into playing the position. From their mental makeup, to their arm strength, accuracy and mobility there are many things that go into making a great QB. However, I am a simple man, so today I want to highlight three 2023 QB’s who’s film was so impressive they deserved to get some recognition.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="273301" first="Camron" last="Enright"] - Redwood Valley H.S. (6’1" 180lbs)
Enright’s film is teach tape on how to run the zone read. His first highlight is a great look at the type of player he his and his athleticism. Enright takes the pistol snap, is patient through the mesh point, and once he makes his keep read he is GONE. As I continued to watch I was dazzled by multiple zone read plays, and even a few WR clips from Camron who displays a versatile game and is someone who is lethal in the open field. His coaches do a phenomenal job of getting the ball in his hands and letting him make plays.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="295821" first="Jack" last="Spanier"] - Rocori H.S. (6’0" 170lbs)
Those of us that remember Johnny Manziel as a college QB, will get a case of deja vu watching Spanier. His first three clips show a QB who can keep his head about him under pressure, keep his eyes downfield and deliver a catchable ball to his receivers. Spanier makes multiple defenders miss on each clip and shows solid arm strength while on the run. The good news is, the highlights don’t stop after the first three clips. Spanier has multiple tight window throws on his film that show a QB who trusts his arm strength and is fearless while standing in the pocket.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="268929" first="Gavin" last="Quade"] - Moorhead H.S. (6’1" 185lbs)
Unlike the first two QB’s on this list, Quade does most of his damage with a strong right arm, that is capable of delivering throws all over the field. As the captain of Moorhead’s spread attack, Quade is asked to make RPO reads, half field reads and even full field reads from the pocket. He shows a calm demeanor and a cannon for an arm that delivers money ball after money ball to a talented group of WR’s. Quade looks just as comfortable throwing deep balls down the sidelines as he does crossing routes over the middle of the field. His ability to deliver the ball accurately and on time made his film an entertaining watch from start to finish.
