While many may be moving on from the 2022 class, we at Prep Redzone are not. There are still many talented prospects within the Top 200 of our rankings that are still left unsigned. For those still hunting 2022’s, here are prospects who could be the final piece to your puzzle.
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Wide Receivers</strong></span></p>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27574" first="Kevin" last="Thomas"] | 6’2, 190 | Neumann-Goretti</strong></span></em>
Offers: Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska, Texas A&M, West Virginia, others...
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Elite Physical Tools</span>
Top 20 ranked prospect in his class. Top 3 at his position. So much of what Thomas does is at the elite level. Elite long speed, elite hands, elite awareness. Recently de-committed from West Virginia University
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27565" first="Lorenzo" last="Jenkins"] | 6’4, 175 | Blackhawk</strong></span></em>
Offers: Clarion, West Liberty, Livingstone College, Old Dominion
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Ball Locating / High-Pointing</span>
Top 40 in his class. One positional spot behind [player_tooltip player_id="27574" first="Kevin" last="Thomas"]. A thin frame but excellent height allows him to be effective in jump ball, 50/50 situations. FCS potential for sure.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27570" first="Emmanuel" last="Sia"] | Archbishop Wood</strong></span></em>
Offers: Marshall, Akron, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Syracuse
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">YAC Ability, Reps @ DB</span>
Top 100 ranking in his class. Top 10 in his position. Sia’s ranking took a slight dip. Still one of the better two way players in the PCL. Equally effective as a DB or WR.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="156224" first="Malik" last="Shannon"] | 6’4, 230 | Imani Christian</strong></span></em>
Offers: Bluefield State, Fairmont State, Kent State, Akron, Toledo,
Standout Trait:<span style="font-size: 14pt;"> Position Versatility (WR/DB/LB/QB)</span>
A steal for whoever lands him. A coach’s dream, a prospect who can be molded to fit whatever assignment you’d ask of him. Great reps at WR/LB. Possibility at S.
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Defensive Backs</strong></span></p>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27621" first="Rashaan" last="Wright"] | 5’10, 170 | Imhotep Charter</strong></span></em>
Offers: UNOFFERED
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Long Speed, Ability to disrupt/catch the ball</span>
Can’t tell me, after watching his senior tape, that he isn’t a Top 100 player in his class. Stands as the Philadelphia Public League’s best un-offered talent. The make-up speed is there. The ability to tackle in space is there. His route recognition is well-seasoned. Tough to find something you don’t like.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98503" first="Kareem" last="Lewis"] | 6’1, 200 | Roman Catholic</strong></span></em>
Offers: U of Penn, UConn, Temple, Bowling Green
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Play Recognition/Diagnosis</span>
Ranked just outside the Top 100. An absolute beast at OLB or Safety. This young man is going to hunt down ball carriers hash-to-hash with ease. Gives you the effort and pursuit to make plays downhill as well. He’s someone I’d trust as my backend safety at the next level.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="94858" first="Darron" last="Miller"] | 6’2, 185 | Chester</strong></span></em>
Offers: UNOFFERED
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Pass coverage ability @ size</span>
Is more of a linebacker with the potential to play safety at the next level because of his advanced ability to play the pass at his size. Ranked in the top 120 of his class.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="242689" first="DaJour" last="Chaffin"] | 6’2, 165 | McKeesport</strong></span></em>
Offers: UNOFFERED
Standout Trait: <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Run Recognition from LB / Versatility</span>
Chaffin rounds out the Top 200. A prospect who, much like [player_tooltip player_id="94858" first="Darron" last="Miller"], may project at linebacker or safety at the next level. For linebacker reps, we’d ask for him to bulk up a tad.
