2023 Running Backs I am Excited to See More of in 2022

The state of Arkansas is never at a shortage for talented prospects at the running back position. Several running backs in the class of 2023 emerged on to the scene during the 2021 football season. We are going to take a look at some running backs that I am excited to see play in 2022. The 2023 class at the running back position has the potential to be special. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="152083" first="Chris" last="Gannaway"]-Bryant-5’10” 175-Pounds</strong> The Bryant running back is a prospect that is exciting to watch. Gannaway has already earned four scholarship offers and will likely earn more over the next few months. He is a running back that can run the ball between the tackles and cut it to the outside when necessary. Gannaway will have plenty of opportunities to carry the ball this season for the Hornets. Gannaway is a running back that I want to see more of this season. The young man has the potential to have a monster season in 2022. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136008" first="Dede" last="Johnson"]-Searcy-5’11” 184-Pounds</strong> Johnson has terrific patience. He allows the rushing lane to develop and explodes through the hole. Johnson has a good mix of speed and power and can run through opposing defenders or run around them. He has the speed to leave opposing defenders trailing after him. Johnson had an excellent 2021 season and has a great opportunity to build off of it in 2022. Johnson will have the chance to see plenty of carries in 2022 and in the process give scouts a reminder of how talented of running back he is. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75136" first="Garrion" last="Curry"]-Magnolia-5’9” 186-Pounds</strong> Curry rushed for a little under 1,500 rushing yards last season and has the talent to improve upon those numbers this season. Curry has earned two scholarship offers and will likely earn some more during the offseason. The Magnolia running back has excellent speed in the open field and can leave defenders behind. Curry does an impressive job of catching the ball out of the backfield. Curry has a knack for making explosive plays and he is a player that has the ability to play on Saturdays in the future. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="142938" first="Torrance" last="Moore"]-North Little Rock-5’11” 185-Pounds</strong> [player_tooltip player_id="142938" first="Torrance" last="Moore"] is a running back that does not delivering a blow when being tackled. The North Little Rock running back has the speed to make opposing defensive players look silly at times. Moore can run the ball between the tackles or cut it to the outside. He is a decisive running back that explodes through the created rushing lanes. Moore has the potential to have a big season in 2022 and is a prospect I would like to see more of in 2022. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="177006" first="Eric" last="Grigsby"]-Prescott-6’0” 190-Pounds</strong> The Prescott Curley Wolves always have plenty of speed at the running back and wide receiver positions every season. Grigsby is a prospect that can be split out wide as a receiver or at the running back position. Grigsby does a great job of identifying the rushing lanes and exploding through them. He does a great job of catching the ball out of the backfield. Grigsby has the speed to leave opposing defenders in the dust. Grigsby will have the opportunity to see plenty of snaps in 2022 and in the process the Curley Wolves should make another deep playoff run.
