The perimeter playmakers in the 2022 group is a very talented one, and there are plenty of talented athletes still looking for their next level home. Today, we are going to dive into that group and breakdown the tape of those still available studs. Let’s get it started!
Daeshon Benson Daeshon Benson 6'6" | 220 lbs | WR Hamilton | 2022 State WI , 6’5″ 195- Milwaukee Hamilton
If you need length on the outside who can go up and get the ball then this is your man! Daeshon specializes in jump ball situations as he easily is able to go up and over defenders as he high points the ball. The hands on the big man are very natural as well. He is able to maximize his length by plucking the ball with his hands. Benson is surprising elusive after the catch for his size. His impressive body control, shiftiness, and play speed are a big reason why he is so elusive. Daeshon does a good job using head fakes to create separation at his breaks. Lastly, Daeshon is more than willing and able to make an impact as a run blocker. Don’t miss out on the big man! Daeshon’s Senior Highlights
Cole Jannusch Cole Jannusch 6'4" | 210 lbs | WR Verona Area | 2022 State WI , 6’4″ 210- Verona
This kid is going to be a steal! He has a big frame, yet it doesn’t slow him down as a playmaker. The conference WR of the Year put up over 23/rec on nearly 30 receptions. Cole has the speed to stretch the field, and is strong in his route running, and I mean strong. DBs aren’t able to knock him off his route, and they can’t slow him down either. Cole is quick at the line with his release putting instant stress on the DB. After the catch, Cole uses speed if he has space and strength if defenders are closing on him. Jannusch is so dangerous before and after the catch. It’s hard to see why he is still available. He currently has an offer from Duluth and interest from UW- Whitewater. Someone is going to get a steal. Cole’s Senior Highlights
Colin Girdaukas Colin Girdaukas 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Sheboygan Lutheran | 2022 State WI , 6’ 190- Sheboygan Lutheran
Coaches, we have a legitimate steal here. Colin was one of the most productive receivers in WI HS football history. So far, that has turned into offers from Dordt, Clarke University, and Culver- Stockton. Colin has next level game speed that he used to create big play after big play. They got him the ball every way they could too. Girduakas returned kicks and punts as well as play receiver and OLB. The all around athlete has shined for years at WR. Colin is so dangerous all over the field as a receiver. He can turn quick screens into huge yards after catch plays. He can take the top off the defense an haul in the ball in traffic. This kid knows how to find the glimpses of daylight and then turn them into big plays. Schools still looking for a reliable option out wide need to look here. Colin’s Senior Highlights
Collin Argue Collin Argue 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Arrowhead | 2022 State WI , 6’3″ 190- Arrowhead
One of the most under the radar prospects is up next! Collin has great size, a 4.0 GPA, and a 32 ACT. There is a lot to like, so teams need to take the time to review his film. Collin is a reliable deep threat who excelled running down and across the field where he could use his speed to stretch the field, and then his size to box out defenders as he goes over the middle or up the seam. The big man did most of his work from the seam. That allowed him to expose safeties and some LBs when teams were crazy enough to put one on him. Argue holds offers from Carnegie Mellon, Bowdoin College, and University of Chicago. Don’t miss out on the playmaker! Collin’s Senior Highlights
Frankie Collopy Frankie Collopy 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Milwaukee Marquette | 2022 State WI , 6’ 175- Milwaukee Marquette
one of my biggest risers from the 2021 season is senior Frankie Collopy Frankie Collopy 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Milwaukee Marquette | 2022 State WI . He burst onto the scene right away in week one as a runner and receiver. You don’t want to miss out on this kid. Frankie is explosive with the bal lin his hands. He does a good job of quickly finding the seams and setting up blocks downfield. His speed makes it so any touch can go to the house. The playmaker is also super elusive thanks to his next level short area agility and quickness. Frankie thrives in the slot where he can run quick routes and then do damage after the catch. Collopy has offers from Valparaiso, and Concordia- St. Paul. Check him out! Frankie’s Senior Highlights
Cameron Fane Cameron Fane 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Madison Edgewood | 2022 WI , 6’2″ 180- Edgewood
Not just a top WR available, Cam is arguably the best player available in the state. He has serious D1 level athleticism, so for him not to have any offers from that level is strange. Just today he posted a 40″ vertical jump to go along with a 4.10 pro agility, 4.50 40 time, and a 10’ broad jump. That freak athleticism looks even more impressive on the field. He is a man among boys out there. His short area agility, quickness, acceleration, and long speed jump off the tape as he makes defenders miss with ease as he makes big play after big play. Fane in the open field is a nightmare for defenses. You won’t find a more elusive player in WI; especially an uncommitted one. Any way you can get the ball in this kid’s hands is a great choice. He is a game breaker, and will contninue to be at the next level. It’s time to come get your guy, coaches. He’s special. Cam’s Senior Highlights
Davis Peacock, 6’3″ 180- Brookfield Central
I’m late to the party, but it looks like next level schools are too. Davis seems to not have any offers, just some recent interest. That needs to shift in a big way after watching through the tape of the long, lean pass catcher. To start, Davis has a solid athletic base of testing numbers. He posted a 4.67 40, 34″ vertical, and 9’10″ broad jump. On the field, Davis shines as a downfield pass catcher who demonstrates really good concentration in traffic to make the difficult catches. Peacock looks like he could become a go-to redzone option at the next level. Teams need to get on this dude quick, fast, and in a hurry. Check the highlights! Davis’ Senior Highlights
