Here are some of the top defensive players that remain unsigned for 2021:
William Thomas William Thomas 6'2" | 285 lbs | DL Sanderson | 2021 State NC , DT, 6’2 285, Sanderson HS
Thomas is a massive defensive tackle that has the ability to power through opposing linemen and stuff the run consistently. He uses the swim move to shed blocks and is a strong tackler because of his impressive technique. For his size, he has nimble feet and can beat the running back on outside running plays with his unique speed. Thomas has a relentless motor and seems to always be in the right place to make the play. He currently has 5 offers from schools that include Duke, Tennessee and South Carolina.
Tylon Dunlap Tylon Dunlap 6'0" | 220 lbs | DL Harding | 2021 NC , DT, 6’ 230, Harding University HS
Dunlap is a quick defensive tackle that splits gaps with ease and has elite play recognition skills. He can beat blocks with his hand usage and is able to throw offensive lineman to the side because of his power. He creates penetration/pressure on passing plays and has the skill to win on the inside and outside with his great bend. Dunlap gets off of the line of scrimmage very quickly and is an efficient tackler. He has received 6 offers including Florida, Michigan, and West Virginia.

Poole is a versatile defensive player that can be used all over the field because of his excellent reaction time and instincts. He is a hard hitter that possesses sideline to sideline closing speed and has good range for his size. Poole has elite ball skills at the point of the catch and uses his anticipation to make a play on the ball. He’s a solid run defender that takes great angle to the ball carrier. Mcneill is an amazing open field tackler that always seems to be in the right position at all times. He has the ability to split opposing lineman quickly and create havoc in the backfield. Mcneill covers ground well which allows him to be an effective run defender that consistently makes the tackle. He’s quick to recognize plays and is seen following the QB’s eyes on passing plays.
