Monthly Recruiting Report: King of Offers Reveals Decision

The King of Offers for the 2022 class has made his decision. Moments ago, Valencia OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id="135310" first="Jonathon" last="Croker"] announced on social media that he had committed to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN, one of the world’s foremost institutions of higher learning for science, engineering and mathematics. Croker plans to major in Biomedical Engineering at the Div. III school. “I decided to choose Rose-Hulman because it was my best option to pursue my future career,” Croker told Prep Redzone New Mexico shortly before revealing his college choice. “I visited the school in Mid-December, and I had a gut feeling this was the place where I belonged.” Croker was recruited by Rose-Hulman to play defensive line. He’ll report for preseason camp in August. Besides the world-renowned academics and solid football program, Croker says his relationship with the Rose-Hulman coaches was another major factor in the school’s favor. “My relationship with the coaches there has been great,” Croker sad. “They’ve been in contact with me for over a year, and they were the second school to give me an offer before my senior season. They’re incredibly supportive and have been a huge factor in my decision.” Rose-Hulman competes in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Fighting Engineers won the conference championship in 2021 and participated in the Division III playoffs. “Rose-Hulman definitely does have a great blend of academics and athletics,” said Croker, who plans to sign on Wednesday, the first day of the annual National Signing Period for non-Div. I schools. ENMU, WNMU SECURE COMMITMENTS: Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico, both of whom have head coaches entering their second seasons at the helm, have recruited the Land of Enchantment aggressively. Those efforts have paid off with multiple commitments in the 2022 class.
