This past Sunday at the hallowed grounds of IMG Academy in beautiful Bradenton we at PrepRedzoneFL were fortunate and thrilled to host our inaugural Showcase in the Sunshine State! Despite the cold, wind, and occasional sprinkle, 100 athletes across five graduating classes came together to compete for an afternoon of exposure, testing, and learning. In addition to our unmatched event exposure across social media and article writeups, the experienced and professional college coaches running the positional drills, and the collegiate programs that come to scout the talent in-person, the testing results from our opening portion of our showcases get automatically sent to dozens of college teams across the nation. That means that the athlete's 40s, 5-10-5s, broad jump, and L-drill numbers are hitting the inboxes of P5, FBS, FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO assistant coaches and recruiting departments from almost every conference in CFB. To start off my personal coverage of what turned into a high-energy, competitive, and impressive inaugural PrepRedzoneFL Showcase, I am going to be highlighting some of the most athletic prospects at the event who blew things out of the water during the testing portion of the afternoon. Speed, quickness, and explosiveness were all on display in droves at IMG. Check out some of the standouts with this PRzFL Showcase All-Combine Team!

Anyone need a senior pass-rusher? The answer is almost always yes. If anyone is wondering, we hosted a good one last Sunday in Bradenton as Orlando powerhouse Dr. Phillips was represented by a monster in 6'6, 244 lb. DE [player_tooltip player_id="275867" first="Jalen" last="Janvier"]. At a legit 6'6, 240+, the uncommitted senior ran a 4.79 (!) in the 40, a 4.80 in the 5-10-5, an 8'3 in the broad jump, and a 7.85 in the L-drill. Quite impressive if I do say so myself. Janvier hasn't reported any interest or offers and has a solid GPA as well. Someone get at him!

Although he's still undersized for the DL position, Trengrove is young, strong, and a thick 210ish pounds. He was also athletic and showed off that maneuverability during testing by clocking a 4.50 and 4.51 in the 40, a 4.7 and 4.5 in the short shuttle, a 9'6 in the broad jump, and a 7.33 in the L-drill. Those are some very impressive numbers! He also balled out during 1-on-1s, but I'll break that down in the next article!
[player_tooltip player_id="275800" first="Calvin" last="Dickey"] (Land O Lakes) DT. C/o 2024. 6'4, 235 lbs. @CJ_Dickey24

[player_tooltip player_id="275851" first="Carter" last="Dalton"] (Venice) LB/SS. C/o 2024. 6', 175 lbs. @CarterDalton28
Wiry, strong, and flew around like his hair was on fire all afternoon long. Solid frame with more room to grow coming out of one of Florida's biggest powerhouses in Venice High School. He timed in at a 4.72 and 4.75 in the 40, a 4.45 and 4.4 in the short shuttle, a 9'6 and 9'3 in the broad jump, and a 6.88 in the L-drill. Talk about some change of direction!

At a legit 6'4, 225 pounds Mr. Bechtel clocked a 4.84 40, 4.28 short shuttle, and a 7.19 L-drill. This kid can move! Has a cannon attached to his shoulder, but with how well he can move he may project to a couple other positions at the next level. We'll get into that in the next few articles, though.

[player_tooltip player_id="252369" first="Nino" last="Freeman"] (Pensacola) QB. C/o 2025. 6'4, 170 lbs. @NinoFreeman8
With great size for a freshman and a considerable amount of arm talent, Freeman ran a 4.70 40, a 4.6 5-10-5, and a 9' broad. These numbers are only going to improve over the next couple of years as well.
[player_tooltip player_id="275794" first="Gavin" last="Savino"] (West Port) QB. C/o 2022. 6', 190 lbs. @GavinSavQB2
Yesterday, Savino made one of the bigger decisions of his young life and committed to play D1 football for the Stetson Hatters. As an uncommitted senior last Sunday the QB posted a 4.87 40, 4.31 short shuttle, back-to-back 9'4 broad jumps, and an impressive 6.94 L-drill to culminate in one of the most balanced testing performances of the day. Go Hatters!
Running Back
[player_tooltip player_id="275873" first="TreQuan" last="Jones"] (Bartow) RB. C/o 2023. 6', 165 lbs. @Que2officiall
One of the most elusive recruits of the showcase also had himself a day in the testing department as he recorded a 4.54 40, 4.34 short shuttle, 9'5 broad jump, and a 7.62 L-drill. He had some serious quickness and was one of my favorite overall prospects of the afternoon at IMG Academy.

There was a reason he was the only youth prospect at the camp!
Wide Receiver
[player_tooltip player_id="125121" first="Noah" last="Obaseki"] (Sarastoa) QB/WR. C/o 2024. 6', 185 lbs. @NoahObaseki

[player_tooltip player_id="275838" first="Jack" last="Shuker"] (Evangelical Christian) WR. C/o 2024. 5'10, 165 lbs. @jack_shuker
The sophomore put up a 4.81 40, back-to-back 4.5s on the short shuttle, and a 10' broad jump! He was the only prospect to jump over that lucrative 10' mark.
Samuel Smith Jr. (Wauseon, OH) WR. C/o 2023. 6'4, 205 lbs. @sam_smith11
The Ohio native came in and dominated with his intriguing mix of speed and size. At a legit 6'4, 200+ he ran a 4.6 40, a 4.5 short shuttle, a 9'5 broad jump, and a 7.2 L-drill. Despite his impressive numbers he did his best work during 1-on-1s, which we will get to later!
[player_tooltip player_id="275834" first="Caleb" last="Goodloe"] (Calvary Christian) WR. C/o 2024. 6', 176 lbs. @CalebGoodloe7

The IMG Academy product didn't have to go too far to compete in our first PrepRedzoneFL Showcase and did some work during the testing portion of the event as he ran a 4.87 40, a 4.5 short shuttle, and a 9'5 & 9'6 broad jump! Also put up a 7.46 on the L-drill.
