It’s been a huge week for new offers and commitments and these prospects are on fire!
Cole Turner-WR |6’2 180| |Vestavia Hills|
Cole Turner flew under a lot of people’s radars during his career at Vestavia Hills but has gained traction at the right time. Towards the end of his senior season, Turner had only received offers from Northern Alabama, and Samford then received offers late December/early January from both Clemson and Buffalo. Turner has a lot to offer, as he is incredibly shifty, runs terrific routes, and has a great set of hands that have allowed him to make a ton of tough catches. Turner recently made his decision to commit to Clemson and will be taking those talents to Death Valley where he will be a great receiving option in years to come.
[player_tooltip player_id="268903" first="Connor" last="Knight"]-DT |6’3 275| |Pinson Valley|
[player_tooltip player_id="268903" first="Connor" last="Knight"] was a recent feature on our Film Submissions series, and since, has gotten even more attention from the collegiate level. Knight is a force on the defensive line for Pinson Valley, consistently generating pressure on both the interior and outside while also having the ability to stuff the run with ease. Knight is just getting started, the way he’s progressed throughout the course of his career he’s setting himself up for a massive season next fall. In the last few days, Knight was recently offered by Miami, Oregon State, UT Martin, Jacksonville State, Toledo, and his father's alma mater Troy.
[player_tooltip player_id="234684" first="Wilkin" last="Formby"]-OT |6’8 300| |Northridge|
[player_tooltip player_id="234684" first="Wilkin" last="Formby"] has been on our radar for a while, and many schools are taking notice of the special talent he is. Formby has fantastic size, standing at 6’8 300, and made it near impossible for defensive lines to make plays against Northridge. Formby helped Northridge have arguably the best offensive line in the 5A, as he rarely if ever allowed any sacks, and was constantly a force in the run game. Heading into his senior season next fall, Formby has already received a fair amount of attention, but just recently 2023 received offers from South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, USC, Marshall, and Eastern Carolina in the last week.
[player_tooltip player_id="128281" first="Patrick" last="Screws"]-OT |6’6 315| |Eufaula|
[player_tooltip player_id="128281" first="Patrick" last="Screws"] is a prospect we first laid eyes on last summer when we were deciding on our Preseason All-State 6A Team, and since then, he has only gotten better. In 2021 summer he held offers from Georgia and Arizona State, but his play last fall has propelled him into gaining more as of recent. Screws is a massive obstacle for defensive linemen to try and overcome, he possesses great flexibility, power, and point of attack that has allowed him to be dominant for Eufaula. In the last week, Screws has received offers from Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Kentucky and Georgia Tech. Expect to see more head his way as he plays his senior season this fall!
[player_tooltip player_id="132043" first="Kavion" last="Henderson"]-EDGE |6’3 233| |Leeds|
[player_tooltip player_id="132043" first="Kavion" last="Henderson"] is proving why we have him ranked as the #1 overall prospect in our 2024 rankings, and the buzz surrounding him is not going to stop anytime soon. Henderson had a massive sophomore season for the Leeds’ defense last fall and was a large reason why his team was able to have a very successful 10-2 season. Henderson is massive, has terrific speed, power, hands, and instincts that terrorized offenses all around the state last year. In the last week, the sophomore received offers from Oregon, Mississippi State, Coastal Carolina, and will likely rack up more towards the end of the month.
