The weekend is far from over and it has been a busy weekend for prospects across the Natural State this weekend. We are going to highlight some of the recruits that have had busy weekends over the past few weeks. The prospects we will take a look have all had a busy few weekends over the past few weeks.
[player_tooltip player_id="94994" first="Cooper" last="Wilcox"]-Quarterback-Greenbrier-2022
The Greenbrier signal caller had a busy weekend. Wilcox has displayed a strong arm and good knowledge of knowing when to get out of the pocket. Wilcox uses his legs well to pick up yards and he knows when to escape the pocket. What I like about Wilcox is that he always keeps his eyes down the field before he takes off with the football. Wilcox placed his commitment with the University of Central of Oklahoma over the weekend. Central Oklahoma got themselves a great quarterback that can run the offense and do anything needed to help the Broncos pick up a win. Congratulations to Wilcox!
[player_tooltip player_id="170805" first="Joey" last="Su’a"]-Offensive Line-Bentonville-2023
The University of Arkansas had prospects in snowy Fayetteville over the weekend. Bentonville offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id="170805" first="Joey" last="Su’a"] made the short drive down I-49 to continue the recruiting process with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Su’a committed to the Hogs a few months ago and enjoyed his visit to the University of Arkansas over the Junior Day weekend festivities. Su’a is a devastating run blocker with impressive quickness out of the stance. He has plenty of power to go along with his quickness and has the potential to be a player we see play in the SEC on Saturdays in the future.
[player_tooltip player_id="135689" first="Carson" last="Morgan"]-Athlete-Bentonville West-2023
[player_tooltip player_id="135689" first="Carson" last="Morgan"] is a dangerous player no matter where he is aligned on the field. Morgan racked up 1,041 yards on the ground and tacked on 10 touchdowns. However, Morgan was able to haul in 18 receptions for 208 yards and one touchdown. Morgan has terrific speed and does a great job of allowing rushing lanes to develop before taking off with the football. Morgan is a player with the potential to have a monster season in 2022. Keep an eye out for him.
[player_tooltip player_id="153362" first="Alex" last="Pizzimenti"]-Offensive Line-Mountain Home-2022
The Mountain Home offensive lineman is a talented offensive lineman that plays with a chip on his shoulder. He gets out of the stance quickly and does an impressive job in the run blocking department. The Southern Arkansas Muleriders were able to land one of the top sleepers in the class of 2022 over this weekend in the form of Pizzimenti. Congratulations go out to Pizzimenti on his commitment to Southern Arkansas!
[player_tooltip player_id="149602" first="Shawn" last="Rycraw"]-Athlete-Central Arkansas Christian-2024
In San Antonio, a week ago [player_tooltip player_id="149602" first="Shawn" last="Rycraw"] opened plenty of eyes in his performance there. The Central Arkansas Christian athlete is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands. During the 2021 season, Rycraw hauled in 20 receptions for 500 yards and tacked on six total touchdowns on the season. The best is yet to come from this talented player. He has the potential to explode on to the scene over the next few months. Watch out for Rycraw.
[player_tooltip player_id="97472" first="Jyrin" last="Steward"]-Linebacker-El Dorado-2022
Arkansas Tech had an impressive recruiting weekend earning the commitment of El Dorado linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="97472" first="Jyrin" last="Steward"]. The versatility that Steward has is something that has impressed me all season. He has the skills to block a punt and recover it for a touchdown. Steward is always around the ball carrier and does not miss tackles. Steward’s speed and not being out of positions is a trait that will serve him well in Russellville on Saturdays in the future. Congratulations go out to the talented El Dorado linebacker on his commitment.
[player_tooltip player_id="120372" first="Cade" last="Fields"]-Linebacker-Fayetteville-2022
[player_tooltip player_id="120372" first="Cade" last="Fields"] is a linebacker that is always around the football. He is not a player that will shy away from contact, and he loves to disrupt the rushing attack. Arkansas Tech has landed a great linebacker class in securing Fields and [player_tooltip player_id="97472" first="Jyrin" last="Steward"]’s commitments over the past few days. Fields is a player that has the potential to be a force for Arkansas Tech over the next few years. The folks in Russellville are going to love seeing Steward and Fields on the field together.
