DB’s! The class of 2025 already has some dedicated defensive backs who look to be D1 bound. In this edition of the rankings, we have 3 Watch List players who we are currently very high on. These athletes have impressed on the field, as well as during offseason competitions and other sports. Now, let’s take a look at those 3 athletes.
[player_tooltip player_id="261421" first="Trey" last="Pochmara"] III (Lake Orion)
Pochmara III is a very interesting prospect out of Lake Orion. Having been invited to the Elite Exposure camp in addition to already having a Central Michigan visit, Pochmara is already getting some deserved attention. It’s to note that he plays in the OAA Red, playing some of the most elite teams in the state such as West Bloomfield. Pochmara will undoubtedly have the opportunity to show off his skills against great competition, and we’ll have a great idea of his talent once the 2022 season kicks off.

Per Cass Tech tradition, [player_tooltip player_id="247639" first="Jonathan" last="Edison"] looks to be continuing a line of amazing athletes rolling through the program. This is a guy who’s dedicated to his craft and is not afraid to show the world what he’s made of via Twitter. He’s being coached up by some of the best in the business and I would be surprised if he doesn’t develop into a Power-5 prospect very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="244599" first="Irving" last="Knott"] (Renaissance)
Knott already has some nice tape, and he’s shown the ability to man up against good receivers while being a very good run stopper. On stopping the run, he’s able to slither through blocks and come up with some nice tackles in the open field. Overall, it’s obvious that Knott is a great athlete and I look forward to seeing him compete more against great talent.
