*No Particular Order
Caleb Clardy Caleb Clardy 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB David Douglas | 2023 State OR 6-1 200 LB 23’ David Douglas- Clardy is the real deal in my opinion. He isn’t necessarily well known playing for a David Douglas team which has struggled, but look for him to be a Mt Hood Conference Defensive POY favorite next season, after earning 2nd team honors this past year.
Camdyn Stiegeler 6-3 210 QB 23’ Oregon City- This kid quietly stepped up in the state’s toughest conference, earning 2nd team All TRL honors over multiple D1 projected QB’s. He has size and all the potential in the world.
Austin Goetz 6-3 195 LB/ATH 23’ Tigard- Goetz could potentially be ranked one of the top LBs in the state before he is done. He has size and moves incredibly well, racking up 2nd team honors on D and honorable mention accolades at TE.
Alisjah Tucker Alisjah Tucker 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Southridge | 2023 State OR 6-0 170 DB/ATH 23’ Southridge- Tucker broke out as a Sophomore and will end up being a three year all conference kid. The Skyhawks had another tough year finishing (1-8) and will need him to literally do a little bit of everything next year.
Charlie Ozolin Charlie Ozolin 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Summit | 2023 State OR 6-0 170 DB 23’ Summit- Ozolin definitely got slighted if we are referncing all league honors. He earned 2nd team all conference accolades, while potentially being the top DB in the MVC, and helping to lead the state’s stingiest defense.
Daschel Smith 6-1 170 QB 23’ South Salem- Most aren’t aware that Smith finished 3rd state wide at the 6A level in passing yards (2,158) hitting on 59% of his passes. That said as he was only listed as an honorable mention all conference QB.
Hudson Staats 6-0 175 DB 23’ West Linn- We talked recently about Staats as he had an outstanding Junior campaign, recording 45 total tackles, 9 PBUs and 3 INTs. He will project as a 1st team all conference kid next season.
Ethan Burkhead Ethan Burkhead 5'11" | 160 lbs | ATH Thurston | 2024 State OR 6-0 170 24’ DB Thurston- One of the most athletic Sophomore’s in Oregon. He was hurt for part of the year and didn’t get to showcase what he is capable of, earning honorable mention all conference honors. His presumptive 4.5 laser 40 yard dash time speaks to his upside.
Pete Pennington 6-5 215 TE 23’ Churchill- You can’t teach the size and he’s impressive coming off the ball, looking more like a receiver from an agility standpoint. He was an honorable mention kid, but has the potential of being a 1st team all state 5A TE.
Ben Thornbrue Ben Thornbrue 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Glencoe | 2022 State OR 6-7 235 DE/TE 23’ Glencoe- Thornbrue projects as a college hooper, but could definitely be a big time contributor on the football field collegiately, if he chose to pursue the sport. He earned 2nd team & honorable mention all conference honors on the D line and is a consistent threat as a 6-7 tight end.
