Shaleak Knotts Shaleak Knotts 6'2" | 175 lbs | WR Monroe | 2022 State NC , 6’2” 190, Monroe HS (No. 1 WR, No. 6 Overall). Shaleak retained the top spot at wide receiver. Shaleak is an athletic, sure-handed receiver who makes a high number of catches in traffic. He runs precision pass routes and displays the ability to separate from defender. He accelerates after making the catch and outruns the defender to gain big yardage, a threat to score anytime the ball is in his hands. The University of Maryland commit is difficult to defend in man-coverage.
Wesley Grimes Wesley Grimes 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Millbrook | 2022 State NC , Millbrook HS (No.2 WR, No. 15 Overall). Wesley is a talented wide receiver who runs good pass routes and separates quickly from defenders to make catches on the long-ball throws and catches in traffic. He outruns defenders in the open field after making the catch. The Wake Forest University commit lead the state with 1,594 receiving yards and 26 TDs.
William Hawkins IV William Hawkins IV 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Heritage | 2023 SC , 6’4” 205, Heritage HS (No. 3 WR, No. 20 Overall). Will runs precision pass routes and separates from the defender very quickly. Displays the athletic ability to make adjustment to catch bad passes. Will has powerful hands and catches the ball in his hands. Will is a big receiver who is a combination of speed and power and is difficult to defend in man-coverage. William Hawkins IV William Hawkins IV 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Heritage | 2023 SC is the best blocking wide receiver in the state. Will delivered some devastating blocks on his highlight videos.
Dakota Twitty Dakota Twitty 6'5" | 225 lbs | WR Thomas Jefferson | 2022 State NC , 6’5” 225, Thomas Jefferson Academy HS (No. 4 WR, No. 23 Overall). Dakota is a big wide receiver who uses his body to shield off the defender to make the catch. He runs good pass patterns and displays good speed in the open field. He displayed good hands on the catches made in traffic. The University of Virginia commit was a big target for the quarterback on pass plays.
Mehki Wall Mehki Wall 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Dudley | 2022 State NC , 5’10” 160, Dudley HS (No. 5 WR, No. 27 Overall). Mehki is an athletic wide receiver with explosive speed to run past defenders. He displayed the ability to make catches in traffic and on the long ball passing routes. He is a dual threat to score with the ball in his hands as a receiver and as a kick-off returner. The Duke University commit had 1,014 receiving yards and 10 TDs as he helped lead his team to the State 3A Football Championship.
