8A District 4 Quarterback Post Season Analysis

<div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> With the 2021 season coming to an end, I’m doing a postseason analysis of Quarterback prospects from every Classification/Region/District in Florida. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.           Anthony Benzija- Hagerty High c/o 23 6’4 205lbs Benzija had a very good season for Hagerty High in 2021. He led the district in passing with 1898 yards, completed 59% of his passes, and passed for 18 touchdowns and also rushed for 270 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Good sized quarterback that has good mechanics and shows good footwork in the pocket, has very good arm strength and can put zip on second level throws, throws with good touch and ball placement to hit receivers in stride on deep throws. Underrated prospect that should be getting some looks from schools. He was second in the district passing for 1,090 yards, completing over 60% of his passes and throwing 11 touchdowns. Shows good shoulder/width foot spacing, smart quarterback that processes coverages quickly and has a quick release, does a good job keeping his eyes downfield with defenders around him, very accurate. He was third in the district of 1066 yards passing, completed 56% of his passes, and passed for seven touchdowns while also rushing for 336 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. He does a very good job climbing the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield and delivering strikes, shows very good accuracy throwing on the run, Reads defenses quickly and knows where to go with the football. Also is a very effective running the zone-read showing good vision and quickness. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12970394/Makai-Elder">https://www.hudl.com/profile/12970394/Makai-Elder</a>   [player_tooltip player_id="111417" first="Jaden" last="Machules"]- Winter Park High 5’11 165lbs Machules had a very good season for Winter Park in 2021, he led them to a 6-5 record and a playoff berth. He finished the season throwing for 742 yards, completing 51% of his passes and three touchdowns through the air. He also rushed for 381 yards and five touchdowns. He’s a dual-threat prospect that has good speed (4.6 40) has good arm strength and throws a very nice deep ball, gets the ball out of his hand quickly, he’s very effective running the ball showing good acceleration and burst to the edge and the ability to pick up big chunks of yards. Nice athletic/smart (3.7 GPA) quarterback prospect. </div> </div> <div id="contentsContainer" class="style-scope qowt-page"> <div id="contents" class="style-scope qowt-page"> Film: https://www.hudl.com/profile/11814562/Jaden-Machules   Aidan Warner- Winter Park High c/o 23 6’4 205lbs Warner is a very intriguing Junior prospect that split time with Machules for Winter Park in 2021. He passed for 499 yards, completed over 58% of his passes, and threw six touchdowns and also rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Nice sized quarterback that’s shows very good speed/running ability for a player his size, runs away from defenders on film, has outstanding arm strength and can fire the ball all over the field. Has all the tools to be a big-time quarterback prospect next season. He’s an outstanding student with a 4.4 GPA. He just picked up his first D1 offer from Florida Atlantic in November.
