Wise came out of nowhere as a senior, but he’s a must-see player. Through seven games, he’s leading the 6A class in rushing, averaging almost 200 yards per game and nearly 10 yards per carry. He’s broken several long runs, often taking a carry that should go for 10 and turning it into a carry that goes for 30 or 40 yards. Even at his size, he’ll operate between the tackles. Wise is a fun player.

Cooper has had a career year so far at the running back spot, and he’s been so good that he has broken the school record TWICE already this season for rushing yards in a game. The most impressive part of this is that his team is having their best season in years already, and they’re a threat to make the playoffs and be a tough out when they get there. The speed and vision Cooper is showing in his midseason highlights is really impressive, and when you consider the Panthers aren’t making it a secret that he’s getting the ball, it’s just something special we are witnessing right now.
