Week 5 Top Performers Send A Message To College Coaches

When football is being played in the state of Florida every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, college coaches and fans across the country are watching.   Because there are so many prospects who are taking the field each week – between August and December, the Sunshine State is truly in the spotlight as everyone is watching what teams do – and of course what the many prospects are getting done.   Over the past four weeks – when we spotlight the top performers on Monday and Tuesday, the amount of attention that is paid to what the student/athletes are getting done is growing every week, and college coaches are watching closely.   Here is a look at some of the top performers from Week 5:   Bolles (Jacksonville) High. In stretching their winning streak to three games, the Bulldogs had a number of key performers. Among them were 2028 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1247412' first='Luke' last='Toland'] (129 yards passing, 3 touchdowns), 2028 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1153040' first='Xander' last='Edwards'] (165 yards rushing, 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 touchdown reception), 2028 DE [player_tooltip player_id='547812' first='Asher' last='Ghioto'] (2 Sacks, 5 tackles for loss, & 6 tackles), 2028 LB Maddox Helbing (8 tackles, 1 sack), 2027 LB Christian Hayes (7 tackles, 1 sack & 2 tackles for loss), 2028 LB [player_tooltip player_id='2083378' first='Brett' last='Bearden'] (9 tackles) and 2028 Edge [player_tooltip player_id='2237231' first='Tyson' last='Abdullah'] (3 tackles, 1 sack & 2 tackles for loss).   2027 – JeKobi Brown, DB/RB, Clearwater. In getting the Tornadoes over to a perfect start, this versatile 5'11, 180-pounder, playing the Nickel Back position, had a key interception, 5 tackles, 1 QB Pressure and 2 tackles for loss against Largo.   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2128241' first='Ja'marian' last='Clark'], Athlete/WR, The Villages. In helping this program get off to a great start, his 155 yards on just 5 receptions resulted in a touchdown. A 3.3 (GPA) student, this 6'1, 188-pounder is also a leader.   2027 - Charles Ervin Calhoun lll, LB, Lakeland. With all the talent the Dreadnaughts have this impressive student (3.0 GPA)/athlete had a big game in a win against state-rated two-time defending state champion Plantation American Heritage with 15 tackles and 2 key pass deflections.   2029 – Cade DePriest, QB, Winter Park. One of the emerging stars in the class continues to impress and show why he will be one of the players to keep an eye on. His 13 of 18 for 316-yard performance in a loss also included 2 TD passes. The 6'0, 170-pounder is a dual threat prospect.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1671212' first='Brian' last='Dillard'], WR/Athlete, Orlando Evans. Even in a tough loss to unbeaten St. Augustine, he caught 8 balls for 203 yards and returned to kicks for good field position. The speedster (4.3, 40) is very special.   2027 - Oliver Esmailzadeh, DE, Melbourne Holy Trinity. Came to play this past week 3 tackles for loss, 9 tackles and 2 sacks. He is also getting it done in the classroom with a 4.5 GPA.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2171647' first='Ashton' last='Garnes'], WR, Ocala Trinity Catholic. This sophomore made a lasting impression against Chiefland with 124 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. The 5'9.5, 155-pounder is an tremendous student (3.3 GPA) as well.   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='895241' first='George' last='Harris Jr.'], Athlete, Miami True North Classical Academy. The talented senior got it done on both sides of the ball – with 9 carries for 35 yards and 1 reception for 9 yards on offense – and registered 6 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and one pass breakups in their first win of the season.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2220476' first='Kolt' last='Huber'], SS, Naples. It has been a solid start to the season for this sophomore who has 45 tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble and a pass breakup. The 5'11, 160-pounder who also plays slot on offense, is attracting attention with his work in the classroom (3.9 GPA) too!   2027 – Nicco Humes, OLB/DE, Pompano Beach. It has been a great start for his final season at the high school level – with 5 Sacks, 11 tackles for loss and several tackles for loss and 49 total tackles. The 6'1, 200-pounder has also impressed in the classroom (4.4 GPA).   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2137678' first='Andre' last='Hyppolite'], Athlete, North Miami Beach. This University of Miami commitment once again got it done on both sides of the ball, scoring three times as the Chargers moved to 4-1 with a win over previously unbeaten Miami Springs. Also made several key plays in the secondary.   2027 - Ka'marion Jones, Athlete, Bradenton Lakewood Ranch. Made things happen on both sides of the ball – with 2 Touchdowns and 90 receiving yards on offense. Defensively, 2 pass break ups and 6 tackles. Another athlete who gets it done in the classroom (3.0 GPA).   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2252198' first='Allen' last='Lindsey IV'], LB/TE/LS, Cantonment Tate. In a big win over Pensacola West Florida he scored a touchdown, came up with 5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. He also makes it happen in the classroom with a 3.4 GPA.   2029 – Alfonso Llanes, QB, Miami Ransom Everglades. In a 39-14 win over Somerset Pembroke Pines, he accounted for 2 touchdowns and 237 yards as the Raiders remained unbeaten.   2029 – Esera Mageo, RB/DB, Navarre. This fast-rising sophomore came up with 12 tackles, 4 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles and 1 interception for the Raiders. He is also turning heads with his work in the classroom (3.643 GPA).   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2178470' first='Randon' last='Manausa'], LB/LS/Athlete, Tallahassee Leon. Playing just one half, he put up some stellar numbers – such as 3 Forced Fumbles, 9 Tackles (6 solo), 1 Sack and 1 tackle for loss.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2130656' first='Marcus' last='Morris'], Athlete, Winter Park Lake Howell. A tremendous two-way effort with 3 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he had 4 tackles and 2 pass breakups.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2171438' first='Brayden' last='Myers'], Athlete, Fort Lauderdale Pine Crest. Came up with a solid game with 5 catches for 61 yards and a score. Added an 80-yard kickoff return for a score. This tremendous student (4.1 GPA) in the classroom also plays lacrosse.   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2210493' first='Philip' last='Prioleau'], DE, Orlando Dr. Phillips. Had a big week for the Panthers with 1 Sack, 5 tackles for loss, 3 QB Pressures and 7 total tackles in a win.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2206519' first='Wyatt' last='Rapoza'], QB/FS/LS, Green Cove Springs Clay. This impressive sophomore was all over the field – on both sides – with 68 yards throwing, with a TD, 20 yards rushing with a TD. On defense, he finished with 11 tackles, 1 pass break up and 1 QB Pressure. Also has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.   2027 – Nicholas Salas, PK, Orlando Bishop Moore. In a big Hornets' win, he was 5/5 touchbacks (4 of them over 70 yards) 6/6 PAT and recovered onside kick. Has a 3.42 GPA.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2171576' first='KeSean' last='Smith'], RB, Tampa Bay Tech. The Titans stayed unbeaten as this quality junior scored 4 touchdowns and added 150 yards. A 3.9 (GPA) student in the classroom as well.   2031 - King Stallings, LB, Miami True North Classical Academy. This 8th grader had a huge game against Miami Southridge with 13 tackles and an interception.   2027 – Kevin Williams, Athlete, Clearwater. Helped the Tornadoes remain unbeaten with 1 Receiving Touchdown, 1 Pick 6, 3 Pass Break Ups and 2 Tackles For Loss on defense. Offensively, the 5'8, 160-pounder finished with 6 receptions for 61 yards averaging 10 yards per catch. This student/athlete also makes it happen in the classroom with a 3.2 GPA.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2171704' first='Taebor' last='Williams'], Athlete, Orlando Lake Nona. This 6'3, 190-pounder is a sophomore that everyone needs to keep an eye on as he has put up some numbers so far. Has 30 Tackles (13 Solo), 1 interception, 2 pass breakups and 3 tackles for loss on defense. Has 80 receiving yards and 2 scores. Also, has a TD on special teams.   2028 – Michael Wilson, S, Santa Rosa Beach South Walton. The speedy standout, who also plays receiver, did the damage on the defensive side of the ball with 9 tackles, a pass breakup and several key plays. He also returned a kick. This is another student/athlete that colleges are watching in the classroom (3.6 GPA).   Windermere High – In a convincing 42-3 win against Orlando Olympia, there were several key performers – such 2027 QB Dean Monroe (14 of 16, 241yds, 4 touchdowns, 2027 RB/baseball prospect Jabari Anderson (17 carries, 132 yards, 1 touchdown), 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='2248845' first='Mason' last='Mathis'] (3 catches, 83 yards, 2 touchdowns) 2027 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1682756' first='Trace' last='Kulczar'] (7 Tackles, 1 tackle for loss, forced fumble and scored 1 touchdown.
