<p>There are many aspects of the game that need to be fine-tuned during the regular season and one of the key areas of emphasis is the QB-Receiver Connection.</p>

<p>Some teams have the luxury of multiple top-end options to go to but for many teams the quarterback and his primary target - be it TE, WR, RB or All-Purpose Back - develop a locked-in connection to help shift the offense into turbo mode.</p>

<p>In this report we will take a look at some standout <em>QB-Receiver Connections</em> that are ready for the spotlight.</p>

<p><strong><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1579585' first='Jerick' last='Humphreys']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/jerick-humphreys/"></a> </strong>, 6'1, 200, QB, <em>Hesston</em>, <strong>'27</strong>, <strong><em>[PICTURED]</em></strong> he has led his team to a 2-0 start after defeating <em>Hoisington</em> 23-16 last Friday. In those two games he has played a hot hand, completing 27 of 40 passes for 404 yards, completing 68%, with 4 TD passes and zero picks. He is coming off a breakthrough season as a junior last year when he completed 94 of 137 attempts, for 1,349 yards, completing 69%, and had 12 touchdown passes to only three interceptions. So far in the '26 season he has developed a dangerous connection with the playmaker below .</p>

<p><strong><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1113257' first='Gavin' last='Larson']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/gavin-larson/"></a> </strong>, 6'0, 195, WR/LB/ATH, <strong>'27</strong>, this multi-positional baller got off to a fast start teaming with <em>Humphreys</em> in the season opener and then followed up with another sizzling game against <em>Hoisington</em> last week, catching 15 passes for 273 yards, averaging 19 yards a catch and scored 4 TDs, including a 91-yard score in those two games. He was also busy on the other side of the ball with 7 tackles and 2 interceptions.</p>

<p><strong><em>THE WASHINGTON CONNECTION:</em></strong></p>

<p><strong>Benito Morell</strong>, 5'11, 165, QB, <em>KC Washington</em>, <strong>'28</strong>, this first-year starter has stepped right in to lead the high-octane <em>Wildcat</em> offense, winning the first two games by a combined score of 104-0, while completing 29 of 51 passes for 577 yds, completing 58%, for 8 TD passes and zero picks. Last Friday he had 405 APY and 5 TDs and also hooked up with the guy below who is one of the most lethal threats in the state.</p>

<p><strong><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1125716' first='CamRon' last='Fields']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/camron-fields/"></a> </strong>, 5'10, 185, WR/RB/ATH, <em>KC Washington</em>, <strong>'27</strong>, last Friday he had a monster game, catching 11 passes for 312 yards, rushing for 75 more and scoring a jaw-dropping 7 TDs. He has picked up where he left off last year when he was a one-man wrecking crew, catching 63 passes for 1,281 yards, rushing for 860 more and piling up 2,487 APY and 14 TDs.</p>

<p><strong><em>THE SACRED HEART CONNECTION:</em></strong></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1530356' first='Maddox' last='Wells']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/maddox-wells/"></a> <a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/maddox-wells/"></a> </strong>, 5'10, 165, QB,<em> Sacred Heart</em>, <strong>'27</strong>, he has led his team to a 2-0 start after last Friday's 26-0 win over <em>Ellsworth</em>. Along the way he put up impressive numbers, completing 21 of 32 for 471 yds, completing 66%, with 4 TD passes and 0 picks. He also added 194 yards rushing on 26 carries and four more TDs to give him 665 APYs and 8 TDs so far this fall. He looks to be even more dangerous this year after an impressive junior year when he accounted for 1,800+ APYs and 20 TDs. So far this year he has developed a promising connection with the baller below.</p>

<p><strong>Dominic Matteucci</strong>, 5'10, 170, WR/RB/ATH, <em>Sacred Heart</em>, <strong>'27</strong>, he is a dangerous hybrid back-receiver who has caught 11 passes for 211 yds, 18+ per catch and one touchdown, and rushed 19 times for 168 yards and 2 TDs to give him 374 APYs and 3 TDs to start the season. On the other side of the ball he has 8 tackles, one tackle for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery.</p>

<p><strong><em>THE SPRING HILL CONNECTION:</em></strong></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2351303' first='Blace' last='Rodina']</strong>, 6'0, 165, QB, <em>Spring Hill</em>, <strong>'29</strong>, this young gun is off and running helping lead his team to a 2-0 mark so far this year after dispatching <em>Turner </em>60-14 last Friday. Through two games this year he has been sharp, completing 19 of 26 passes for 356 yds, completing 73%, for 6 TDs and zero picks. With two lop-sided wins to date there has not been a lot of time to develop his receiver connections, but it appears he has a developing weapon in the baller below.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2351309' first='Cameron' last='Wells']</strong>, 6'2, 170, WR, <em>Spring Hill</em>, <strong>'27</strong>, he has been flying under the radar somewhat but after torching the turf for 193 yards on only 6 receptions, averaging 30+ yards per catch and scoring 3 touchdowns, this playmaker is stepping up at the right time for a team on the rise.</p>
