2022 Newcomers: December Update

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Each update, we tend to take some time to add some newcomers to our list. These newcomers happen to be players who may have either flown under the radar in our last update, or who managed to crack the list for the first time. Nevertheless, taking some time to check out each of these players is key due to the fact that each of them has a high level of talent. Since these prospects are in the 2022 class, the recruiting game for each of them has either already picked up a good bit in the search for their future program, or they have already found a home. This season in itself, especially being their senior year, happened to be a big year for them, and moving forward, we think that the sky is the limit. For now, we have listed some of our favorite prospects that we have felt were worth adding to our rankings this go-around.  </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="224843" first="Carlton" last="Madden"] (DL)- </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cedar Grove</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">What is there not to like about [player_tooltip player_id="224843" first="Carlton" last="Madden"]’s ability to play DL? In fact, we loved his ability so much that in our new update, you can see him added at 12th overall. To start, Madden takes very good angles, and he does a good job of making tackles, and plays in pursuit. He has good get off, and the way his length allows for him to catch ball carriers from a distance, or grab hold of passers, can be seen to be very impressive. Madden also does a good job of wrapping up on tackles, and his strong hands, and body allow for the contact he brings to be felt greatly. The way that Madden is able to separate from linemen is also great, especially with his pass rush techniques, and ability to use quick hands and feet simultaneously. As he continues to develop, look for him to be one of the best players in the country at his position. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="224857" first="Cole" last="Speer"] (WR)- </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Calhoun </span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Speer has continued to have a very successful season, and he has certainly caught our eye. Because of this, we have him added to our list at 37th overall. Not only does he gain good separation on his routes, but he allows for his speed, and footwork to put him in place to make plays. Additionally, Cole does a great job of catching the ball cleanly, and tucking it away. When the ball is in his hands, he has a good vision of the field, and he also plays very balanced, and with ball skills that allow him to attack the football from various angles. Speer also has a great developmental frame, which allows for him to add weight well, and leaves room for him to be able to continue to grow into his body.</span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="224856" first="Jacarrius" last="Peak"] (OL)-</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Valdosta</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Peak is an incredible offensive linemen in every sense possible. To start, he is big bodied, and uses his size to his advantage whether it be his length, frame, or height. What makes this even better is the fact that he plays very physically, and allows his aggressive nature to help him finish blocks, and bring opposing players to the ground. Peak plays the game with good feet, allowing him to adjust to any kind of pass rush, and he does a good job of rolling his hips, and blocking down field as well. What is also impressive is the way that he is able to move well both laterally, and horizontally due to his bend, and flexibility in his hips. Because of this, we are proud to have him ranked 33rd overall, and we can easily see him make a jump in our next rankings if he continues to improve. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="224858" first="Tyler" last="Griffin"] (ATH)-</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> New Southeast</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Griffin comes in at number 43 overall in our new rankings, and we could not be happier to have him in our latest update. To start, he plays with very good vision, and he always allows for his length to help him make plays on the ball. He uses this to his advantage in jump ball situations, as well as any potentially contentious receptions. Griffin also plays with very good burst, and change of direction, which allows for him to gain ground on defenders very well. While he has decent route running skills, what we also notice is the way he uses quick feet to separate from DB’s. This, paired with his ability to catch and go, makes him a very impressive prospect. </span>
