1.[player_tooltip player_id='1705963' first='Ronan' last='Crawford'] 6-6 255 DE/OL West Linn

UPDATED: West Linn is loaded and will rank as the state's top team coming into the season. If Crawford can get on the field and do well against TRL competition, it will justify the #1 ranking.

Still somewhat raw but his upside is ridiculous. If he puts it all together, he could be one of the best in the TRL up front next season.

Expect Crawford to be a major D1 recruit with his ceiling being as high as anyone. The Lions have produced some of the best lineman ever to come out of the state and he could be another one.

2.[player_tooltip player_id='2079649' first='Cade' last='Ellis'] 6-7 285 OL Silverton

UPDATED: Ellis performed well at the Northwest Showcase, the largest event on the west coast, over the offseason. All eyes will be on him and his team to repeat as state champs with an unreal line group returning.

There are still a lot of unknowns here, but all indicators have Ellis projecting to a high level of collegiate ball with his size.

His Hudl film has him listed as Cade "Shrek" Ellis which seems appropriate. Silverton continues to be one of the most impressive and consistent programs in the state, winning another 5A title this past season. He projects as a major prospect.

3.[player_tooltip player_id='2079648' first='Easton' last='Grubb'] 6-0 190 RB/WLB Tualatin

UPDATED: Once again Grubb is just a special breed of athlete, who could start on either side of the ball for a Tualatin team very capable of winning the state title. I could see him scoring 10 TD's and making 40 tackles on the year.

Grubb is just a different type of athlete. He is a likely Oregon 6A POY before he's done.

This kid was a machine putting up some of the most ridiculous numbers anywhere, even if it was freshman ball. Grubb's 41 TD's and 3100 all purpose yards were likely a record at that level. Him, [player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'], and [player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'] give the T-Wolves a trio of backs unlike any other in the state.

4.[player_tooltip player_id='2090232' first='Amir' last='Harris'] 6-0 190 Safety Willamette OFFERS (1) UNLV

UPDATED: The early offer to UNLV and his stats from last year speak for themselves. Harris had an outstanding offseason and added some size. He will be a double digit D1 offer athlete.

Harris had 34 tackles and a pick at the varsity level as a freshman for a top 6A Willamette program. His early success has continued on the camp circuit and he will be a potential early offer guy.

5.[player_tooltip player_id='2129840' first='Laikyn' last='Donnelly'] 6-5 225 TE/DE West Salem

UPDATED: Look for Donnelly to play a major role as a sophomore for the Titans. If he does so and gets out on the camp circuit next offseason, his ceiling is as high as anyone in the state.

Donnelly played varsity basketball as a freshman and has the potential of being a major D1 recruit on the football field. Head coach Shawn Stanley has had numerous elite prospects come through his program, and he will be another one.

6.[player_tooltip player_id='1558034' first='Zane' last='Zellick'] 6-0 170 RB/ATH West Linn

UPDATED: Zellick could play immediately as a sophomore and be one of the best in the TRL, opposite 2028 standout athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1609659' first='Cohen' last='Bissell'], who had an all-conference season last year at RB for the Lions.

Zellick "was a man amongst boys" running the ball this past season at the lower level. He could be a legit contributor as a sophomore for a loaded Lions group who will be a 6A title favorite.

One of the most talked about athletes in the 2026 class. Zellick has D1 genes and comes with a legit combination of size and speed. Expect him to score a bunch of TDs for the Lions over the course of his career.

7.[player_tooltip player_id='1509111' first='Jagger' last='Salazar'] 6-2 175 RB Lakeridge

UPDATED: Now back healthy, Salazar could be one of the best in the Three Rivers League as a sophomore. He was dominant at the lower-level last season, scoring 10 TD's in the 4 games before injury. The transfer of top 2029 QB [player_tooltip player_id='2079650' first='Cayde' last='Campbell'] has to be exciting after making the move from Tualatin.

Salazar played some varsity ball as a freshman and has many of the intangibles necessary to project as a P4 athlete. He is one to watch on the camp circuit when he gets back from injury.

Just a really good overall athlete with size and speed. Salazar is another individual who comes from a special family with D1 genes. He is the grandson of Boston Marathon winner Alberto Salazar. Look for him to be a factor next season at Lakeridge.

8.[player_tooltip player_id='1557993' first='Justin' last='Powell'] 5-10 165 DB/ATH Nelson OFFERS (1) Portland St

UPDATED: Nelson backed up the hype with his first D1 offer from Portland St in July. He makes a nice jump up the rankings board and could very well be a 1st team All Mt Hood DB this coming season.

One of the fastest rising prospects in the region. The Team Lillard standout has already upped his stock a considerable amount this early offseason, playing up with the older group and still locking down his side of the field.

9.[player_tooltip player_id='2131617' first='Finn' last='Mellor'] 6-4 250 OL/DL Mountain View

UPDATED: Mellor will have a lot of eyes on him with Mountain View be a legit 5A state title contender, and multiple D1 athletes on their roster. There is still a lot yet to be determined, but he projects as a major recruit.

Mellor is just settling into his frame and is also a talented heavyweight wrestler. Look for him to be one of the most recruited lineman in the NW for his class.

10.[player_tooltip player_id='2127746' first='Jonny' last='Jenkins'] 5-9 180 RB Willamette

UPDATED: Definitely one of my favorite players in the Northwest. Once again from a recruiting standpoint it all comes down to size, but I could see him being the Oregon 6A Player of the Year before he's done.

If we are talking on who had the best season of any freshman statewide, it's probably Jenkins. From a recruitment standpoint it's just a size thing.

Jenkins was one of the most impressive freshman in the entire NW, rushing 76 times for 477 yards (6.3 ypc) and 7 TDs for a Wolverines team that went undefeated in conference and 10-1 overall.

11.[player_tooltip player_id='2054820' first='TyVelle' last='Hill'] 5-11 170 CB Roosevelt

UPDATED: We didn't see Hill anywhere over the offseason and PIL coach of the year Ryan McCants left for Clackamas so not sure what's going to happen here. That said as his accolades as a freshman prove what he is capable of moving forward.

As referenced, it's rare to garner 1st team all-conference accolades as a freshman which Hill did. If he can get out on the camp circuit this offseason, he could blow up.

One of the top 29's in Oregon. Hill earned 1st team all PIL honors as a freshman. Something incredibly tough to do at such a young age. Look for the multi-sport standout to excel and be a top recruit with continued growth.

12.[player_tooltip player_id='1732245' first='Zaire' last='McCrae'] 6-2 195 LB/ATH Willamette

UPDATED: I would expect McCrae to get some legit time as a sophomore with Willamette projecting as a top 5 6A program. He's put on some good size and is part of an elite 2029 class.

MVP Elite is one of the NW's top programs and McCrae probably has the highest ceiling of any athlete in that 29' class. He played some varsity ball this past season and projects to a high level with continued progression.

13.[player_tooltip player_id='2079650' first='Cayde' last='Campbell'] 6-2 180 QB Lakeridge

UPDATED: It had to be a tough decision making the move from Tualatin, but I think it was a good one. As of right now, Campbell projects as the state's top QB for his class. He should be able to get on the field relatively quickly under head coach Spencer Phillips. As most know, he spent 4 years in the NFL coaching quarterbacks in Philadelphia while also being part of the Eagles Super Bowl team in 2018. Not a bad guy to have mentoring you.

Campbell was hurt this past season, but he has grown and comes from a super talented family with size. Expect him to be a D1 guy and one of the best in the NW.

The T-Wolves have had some good QB's come through highlighted by recent BYU commit Nolan Keeney. Campbell could be as good as any of them, with Tualatin featuring an elite up and coming group that he will lead.

14.[player_tooltip player_id='2079790' first='Amir' last='Burton'] 5-11 160 ATH Nelson OFFERS (1) Portland St

UPDATED: Another super talented overall athlete at Nelson who can play on either side of the ball. He earned his first D1 offer from PSU in July and could go both ways for the Hawks this season.

Burton has outstanding film and has been killing it on the 7v7 circuit for Big12Performance. Nelson HS has weapons everywhere.

15.[player_tooltip player_id='2131663' first='Ben' last='Sedillo'] 6-4 300 DT Nelson

UPDATED: Another individual we will expect to see make a significant contribution as a sophomore. Nelson has quickly become one of the top 6A programs in the state with an elite 2029 class.

Sedillo was called a "Mountain of an Athlete" which seems appropriate. He was wildly successful coming up through youth ball and could play early for one of the fastest rising programs in the NW.

16.[player_tooltip player_id='2131659' first='Conor' last='Schmitz'] 6-2 245 Central Catholic

UPDATED: From a recruitment standpoint a lot will depend on continued growth, but you can expect Schmitz to be one of the top interior lineman in the entire Northwest. Fundamentally, he is light years ahead of his peers.

Schmitz started 13 games at the Varsity level as a freshman for one of Oregon's all-time best programs. Look for him to be a 1st or 2nd team all Mt Hood lineman next season.

18.[player_tooltip player_id='2079652' first='Kyler' last='Levrets'] 6-2 170 QB Lake Oswego

UPDATED: A lot of eyes and expectations will be on Levrets especially with Hudson Kurland graduating. Playing for one of the state's all-time great coaches Steve Coury has worked out well for many.

Lake O continues to produce D1 athletes with Levrets having that type of potential. He comes from a talented family with his dad being a division 1 basketball coach and mom a D1 athlete as well. He is one to watch.

19.[player_tooltip player_id='2131643' first='Carter' last='Liepold'] 6-3 190 OLB/TE Nelson

UPDATED: I could see Liepold holding multiple offers and being a dominant 6-3 225 pounds by his junior year. Once again Nelson has a loaded 2029 class and he is another one to watch.

A consensus top prospect in the state of Oregon. Carter could climb this list quickly, with his brother Jackson Liepold being one of the top centers in the Northwest.

UPDATED: Marist has a bunch of young talent coming up through the ranks with Horner possessing the necessary size and frame to be a major recruit. He was one of the young standouts at the Northwest Collegiate Showcase at Western Oregon this offseason.

21.[player_tooltip player_id='1566765' first='Cash' last='Arbow'] 5-11 190 OLB/RB Mountainside

Kids legit.

Arbow was the only freshman playing varsity ball for a solid Mountainside team, working in at RB while projecting as more of an OLB. He is an outstanding baseball player and should be one of the state's top two-sport athletes.

22.[player_tooltip player_id='2131621' first='Blake' last='Silvers'] 6-6 200 Edge/TE West Albany

UPDATED: One of the best baseball players in the state. The 6-6 WR/TE/Edge could be one of Oregon's breakout performers on the football field depending on how the Bulldogs use him.

The talented multi-sport athlete (baseball) has done well as part of Team Alpha and brings legit length and versatility to the table. It wouldn't be surprising to see him have an all-conference sophomore season.

23.[player_tooltip player_id='1564852' first='Landon' last='Benner'] 5-10 165 QB Nelson

UPDATED: Benner has the potential of being one of the top QB's in the state as a sophomore. A lot of young talent should play for Nelson this season with him being the leader of the 29' group.

People rave about this kids athleticism. In summary, he's an undersized QB but one of the best players in the state.

Benner leads an elite freshman group at Nelson as an undersized QB. The Hawks established themselves as one of the top programs in the state this past season and that trend should continue.

24.[player_tooltip player_id='1563740' first='Mason' last='Girt'] 5-8 160 RB Lakeridge

UPDATED: The young standout should get an opportunity to prove himself against the state's best athletes in the TRL. If he can do this as a sophomore at the varsity level, he will see his stock rise.

Girt averaged 200+ yards and 3 to 4 TDs per game at the lower level, absolutely dominating the competition in the toughest conference in the state. Regardless of size he's one of Oregon's best for his class.

Girt has done well from a young age and will be a guy for the Pacers next year as they graduate 35 seniors. He's undersized but tough and could be an all TRL standout as a sophomore similar to [player_tooltip player_id='937113' first='Shane' last='Peters'] of West Linn.

25.[player_tooltip player_id='1855541' first='Malakai' last='Belz'] 6-0 195 OLB/TE Lakeridge

UPDATED: Another super talented 2029 athlete who will get his shot in the brutally tough Three Rivers League as a sophomore. If does well at a young age, the sky's the limit.

We've talked about Belz recently after an MVP season at the freshman level for the Pacers. He can play on either side of the ball, but likely projects on D making 50+ tackles with 12 sacks and 24 TFL's this past year.
