Prep Redzone Iowa kicked off its rankings updates by dropping a new rundown for the Class of 2029, which you can check out HERE. It was the second iteration in ranking this group and the first time there were numbers next to player names. The initial installment was a Watch List.

We provided an overview of the new rankings, which you can read HERE. One of the biggest takeaways was it being so early in the football development process for all of these guys. That said, student-athletes that stand out early in their prep careers often stay on a positive trajectory and high in future ratings.

In conjunction with the '29 update, I wanted to offer more insight into what we see from these individuals. A good way to attack it is by breaking them up by position.

First up is O-Line.

The first No. 1 player in the Prep Redzone Iowa 2029 rankings, Walsworth has the staying power to hold onto the top spot. While he'll face challenges from a talented group of guys ranked behind him, the sophomore has a lot of room to go before reaching his impressive ceiling and the work ethic to get there. Adding to the odds of him reaching it is Walsworth coming up in a program that's among the best at developing players. He's advanced from a physical and technical standpoint, already. It will be a matter of him continuing to become stronger and sharpening his skills through reps. His freshman highlights provide evidence to the tremendous upside. Iowa State already has offered Walsworth a scholarship. It won't be long before the Cyclones have company in that pursuit.

Pace begins his sophomore season as the No. 2 offensive lineman and fifth-ranked player overall in the latest Prep Redzone Iowa rankings. At 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, the Western Dubuque blocker already overpowers opponents on the high school level. It's exciting to think about his future, too, with a projectable frame and a prep program with a strong history for developing dudes in the trenches. Pace has the look of another Bobcat success story. As mentioned, he wins a lot of battles with strength. But that's not to say he's just a bruiser. Pace is athletic and agile, which also leads to success in track. He operates with active hands and is light on his feet. Pace as the ability to be special.

Farley announced his arrival last season, showing up on the offensive line for a program known to produce excellent players up there. Breaking through as a ninth-grader was impressive. Farley stood out for advanced physicality for someone his age. He won a lot of battles being stronger and more powerful than the opponent. Developing in a Cougar program that, again, does well in producing prospects for the next level, Farley should take another step forward in 2026 with improved technique and wisdom gained from a year of varsity football being under his belt. He looks like he loves to play, which leads right into the dedication needed to reach the impressive potential.

As could be said about others in the initial Top 10 of the Prep Redzone Iowa 2029 Class rankings, Azzaline has the upside to become the No. 1 guy when all is said and done. It's present success against older players and then the potential to continue building on a solid foundation with a ceiling that have Power 4 programs already interested. Azzaline is mature from a physical standpoint with a good amount of room for adding strength to a projectable frame. There's a bunch of athleticism and agility. The footwork is smooth, there's an understanding of angles and leverage, and active hands. Of the top O-Linemen on this list to date, Azzaline would have the most potential on the other side of the trench.

Collins is an advanced player for his age, which is why he ranks highly on the initial Prep Redzone Iowa 2029 Class Rankings. Like other dudes on the list, Collins boasts a bright future based on the potential to be much more than the current version of himself, which already impresses. We witness it when watching his freshman highlights from 2025. Collins has a deep understanding of what's needed from him and the ability to deliver it. He can beat people up in a phone booth or knock them on their backsides in space. There's a keen understanding of angles and leverage. He's agile, athletic and fast on his feet. Collins is packed with the potential that should have colleges increasing their interest in short order.
