Notes: CBC entered the Missouri Class 6 playoffs as the No. 1 team in the Class 6 media rankings and the Cadets have lived up to that billing with three victories against three Metro Catholic Conference opponents. CBC took care of upset-minded St. Louis University High, 42-21, and extended its winning streak to 11 games despite being outscored by the visiting Junior Billikens in the second half. Senior QB Patrick Heitert Patrick Heitert 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB CBC | 2022 State MO threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns. Junior RB Dylan Van Dylan Van 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB CBC | 2023 State MO rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Junior RB Ralph Dixon Ralph Dixon 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB CBC | 2023 State MO added 103 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The CBC defense recorded four sacks — senior DL Collin Bell Collin Bell 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL CBC | 2022 State MO , senior LBs Kendall Huston Kendall Huston 6'2" | 190 lbs | LB CBC | 2022 State MO and Jaycob Tatum Jaycob Tatum 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB CBC | 2022 State MO and junior OLB Wyatt Haverstick Wyatt Haverstick 6'2" | 185 lbs | LB CBC | 2023 State MO — and an interception (from junior LB Michael Teason Michael Teason 6'2" | 215 lbs | LB CBC | 2023 State MO ). … SLUH was led by senior WR Chris Brooks Jr Chris Brooks Jr 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR St. Louis University High | 2022 State MO ., who scored all three of the Junior Billikens’ touchdowns, including two on the ground as a short-yardage wildcat quarterback. Brooks made a verbal commitment to Yale, but is sure to attract plenty of attention from schools before signing day after scoring 21 touchdowns this season. Senior RB Andre Tucker Andre Tucker 5'8" | 160 lbs | RB St. Louis University High | 2022 MO is only listed at 5-feet-8 and 157 pounds, but showed some shiftiness and elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Freshman TE Landon Pace Landon Pace 6'3" | 220 lbs | TE St. Louis University High | 2025 State MO got some snaps early for the Junior Billikens. The son of former St. Louis Rams standout Orlando Pace, Landon already has good size (6-3) and will be a player to watch in the future. Older brother Jalen Pace was a standout a MICDS and is now a freshman at Ohio State, his dad’s alma mater. … CBC will now host District 3 No. 1 seed Lee’s Summit North in the quarterfinals this Friday, which means the Cadets’ road to the Class 6 championship game will include four straight home games.

Notes: The Class 6 District 2 championship game pitted the top two seeds in a rematch of one of the most memorable games of the season and the rematch lived up to the advanced billing. Earlier this season it was Howell who defeated Troy Buchanan on a touchdown with just 13 seconds left. In the rematch on Friday night it was Troy that emerged with a 23-21 victory after junior QB Charos Sutton Charos Sutton 5'10" | 170 lbs | QB Troy Buchanan | 2023 State MO connected with senior WR Nathan Ryan Nathan Ryan 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Troy Buchanan | 2022 State MO for a touchdown pass as time expired. Sutton threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 111 yards. The dual-threat quarterback has now accounted for 41 touchdowns in 12 games. Ryan, who is one of the state’s most underrated wide receivers, finished with a season-high nine receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 51 catches for 1,177 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. … Junior TE Brett Norfleet Brett Norfleet 6'7" | 240 lbs | TE Francis Howell | 2023 State MO caught a touchdown pass from senior QB Booker Simmons for Howell, while junior RB Brady Hultman Brady Hultman 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH Francis Howell | 2023 State MO and senior QB Gabe James Gabe James 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Francis Howell | 2022 MO both added rushing touchdowns.
District 3

Notes: Lee’s Summit North put together a strong all-around performance to defeat Joplin, 21-0, and win the district title on Friday night. Senior QB Tre Baker Tre Baker 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Lee's Summit North | 2022 State MO , a Southern Illinois commitment, threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another touchdown. Junior WR Devin Blayney Devin Blayney 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Lee's Summit North | 2022 State MO caught six passes for 149 yards and a score. The LSN defense shut out a Joplin squad that had scored at least 21 points in every game this season. Junior DB DeAndre Beasley DeAndre Beasley 5'9" | 175 lbs | DB Lee's Summit North | 2023 KS and junior LB Kade Williams both snagged interceptions for the Broncos, who are allowing just 10.8 points per game this season. … Lee’s Summit North is now 11-1 and celebrates a district championship after going 4-5 a year ago and 5-5 in 2019. The Broncos will go on the road in the quarterfinals and cross the entire state to face off with top-ranked CBC, which is averaging 48.9 points per game.

Notes: Sam Van Dyne Sam Van Dyne 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Liberty North | 2023 State MO , Cayden Arzola Cayden Arzola 5'11" | 200 lbs | RB Liberty North | 2022 State MO and Tate McGuire Tate McGuire 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Liberty North | 2023 MO powered second-seeded Liberty North to a 34-14 victory over previously undefeated top seed Park Hill South for North’s 10th straight victory. Van Dyne, a junior quarterback with a scholarship offer from Missouri, threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Arzola, a senior running back, rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. He surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in the victory Maguire, a junior wide receiver, caught just two passes, but they went for 76 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles defense was led by junior LB Kaden Durso Kaden Durso 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Liberty North | 2023 State MO and junior DE Jacob Stockard Jacob Stockard 6'5" | 235 lbs | DL Liberty North | 2023 State MO , who each recorded two sacks. … Park Hill South senior QB Nathan Ricco threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception, and senior WR Mudia Reuben Mudia Reuben 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Park Hill South | 2022 State MO caught five passes for 102 yards and two scores.
