If you have followed high school football in the state of Florida, you already know what Tallahassee Lincoln has meant over the years.
The Trojans have produced plenty of talent and solid coaches through the years, keeping the area in the spotlight.
While a number of coaches have tried to get this program back in the yearly playoff, this current regime – with <strong>Jimmie Tyson</strong> and his staff teaching and coaching this team to five straight wins, heading into the season finale on Thursday against 2A Jacksonville Trinity Christian (6-3) at home.
This 7-2 team has a number of seniors who have stepped up – and supply experience and talent.
Among those Class of 2022 prospects include <strong>Devonta Brown</strong> (OLB/DL, 6-2, 235), <strong>Zavion Clark </strong>(OL, 5-10, 250 – 3.8 GPA), <strong>Garrett Copelin</strong> (WR, 6-1, 160 – 4.3 GPA), <strong>Michael Daniels </strong>(DL, 6-0, 215 – 3.1 GPA), <strong>Josh Davis</strong> (DB, 6-0, 160 – 3.5 GPA), <strong>Terrell Dudley</strong> (S/LB, 6-0, 200 – 4.0 GPA), <strong>Christian Duquetoro</strong> (WR, 6-0, 175 – 3.7 GPA), <strong>Courage Fauble</strong> (OL, 6-2, 240 – 2.8 GPA) and quarterback <strong>Perry Fisher</strong> (6-3, 190 – 3.3 GPA).
The Trojans also feature <strong>Rohan Gouldbourne</strong> (DT, 6-2, 275 – 3.0 GPA), <strong>Jordan James</strong> (DB, 5-11, 165 – 3.5 GPA), <strong>Jeremiah Kirkland</strong> (RB, 5-11, 210 – 3.4 GPA), <strong>Omarion LaRoach</strong> (LB, 6-1, 215 – 3.5 GPA), <strong>Mandrell Lewis</strong> (OLB/DL, 6-3, 235 – 3.0 GPA), <strong>Jalen Oliver</strong> (WR, 5-10, 165 – 3.3 GPA), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="50132" first="Tyler" last="Riley"]</strong> (LS, 5-11, 205 – 3.5 GPA) – as swell as offensive linemen <strong>Nicolas Weaver</strong> (5-10, 255 – 3.5 GPA) and <strong>Zach Wheeler</strong> (5-10, 220). There are also versatile defensive backs <strong>Robert Wilson</strong> (6-0, 175 – 3.6 GPA) and <strong>Tamari Wright </strong>(5-11, 175 – 3.8 GPA).
<strong>THE FUTURE IS IN GREAT HANDS</strong>
As gifted and experienced as the senior class is, the Trojans also have some impressive underclass talent – starting with juniors (2023) <strong>Fred Alexander</strong> (RB, 6-10, 190), <strong>Joel Brown</strong> (DB, 5-11, 155), <strong>Crete Carter</strong> (K/WR, 5-7, 145), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128700" first="Cameron" last="Childress"]</strong> (LB, 5-10, 190), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128310" first="Ayden" last="Fryar"] </strong>(QB, 6-1, 185), <strong>Chase Laursen</strong> (OL, 6-2, 230), <strong>Juvon Pettway</strong> (WR, 5-10, 165), <strong>Demetric Stephens</strong> (RB, 5-10, 185), <strong>Derrick Thompson</strong> (DB, 5-10, 160) and standout linebacker <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="128045" first="Raylen" last="Wilson"]</strong> (6-2, 208).
Even the sophomore class (2024) has athletes who have helped this year – and are looking forward to the next three. Promising talent such as <strong>Christopher Bailey</strong> (DE, 5-11, 190), <strong>Julius Darity </strong>(DL, 6-0, 284), <strong>C.J. Dawson</strong> (OL, 5-10, 205), <strong>Alex Gale</strong> (OL/DL, 6-1, 245), <strong>Conner Gilbert</strong> (OL, 6-6, 285), <strong>Sam Robinson</strong> (DB, 6-3, 175) and tight end <strong>Timothy Smith</strong> (6-0, 185).
