2028s to Know Rising Above the Top 100

We took a hard look at some of our 2028 athletes nestled around the top 100 in the state of Nebraska and tell you who could move the needle ahead of the top 100 heading into the 2026 fall season. This group is heavy at the quarterback position, but we also have some RBs and WRs that could make the move.    Braylon should be one that likely moves ahead of the top 100 after our eval today, as there's a lot to like about the growth the incoming junior has made out of Lincoln North Star. He's one I recall from a couple years on the 7v7 circuilt and has showed how much has hands have grown since then especially in high traffic areas. He's also one that I felt his suddenness intensifies with his get out of those high traffic areas as well. Braylon as a route-runner, has surely grown with his twitch on his routes especially on the second level, as I like the consistent seperation he's been able to get with his routes and I would expect that seperation ability improves into his junior season. We have him graded as an athlete for a reason, as I feel he could either be a slot receiver or corner at the next-level     As the new head scout of PRZ Nebraska I am really surprised that Brady isn't already in our top 100 based on what I saw from the first few throws of is. He throws a highly precise deep ball that gives his WRs the proper lead to get downfield quickly and off the eye test, the drop and touch that ball has is fun to watch. Brady is also a 2028 quarterback that can thread the needle in a tight window when he needs to on those intermediate and deep routes. He is prodominantly a pocket passer, but does utilze his legs in the red zone when the defense is expecting the throw. Surely one that should be a stockriser with our first quarterback we looked at.     Kash is a new name out of this 2028 class that is one that probably deals with the most duress I have seen thus far with the throws he's able to make. With that being said though, he shows off resilence with his ability to fit his throws in some tight windows on a consistent basis especially on intermediate routes. He's got more poise than I feel he gets credit for with pressure in his face especially outside of the pocket as he doesn't need much of a window to utilize his arm strength while under some immense pressure. He's got some upside when it comes to utilizing his elusiveness more outside of the pocket but is one to watch out of Tekamah-Herman in his junior season.     A 2028 running back out of Omaha Buena Vista that was newer to our 2028 Nebraska radar was [player_tooltip player_id='2147270' first='Rico' last='Williamson']. Rico doesn't take long to show out the clear-cut vision that this young man has whether in the backfield or in the return game as both of those were pretty balanced when it came what his skillsets showed in both avenues. He shows off the elusiveness with his change of direction and the well-timed burst you want to see as he gets downfield especially to the edges where you can really see his speed shine out in the open field.     Joshua showed from his sophomore season that the upside positionally for him translates best at the linebacker position in my eyes. His proactive get off that he shows with his hands are always quickly to the point of attack as he's one that also has developing short-area vision to climb into the tackle box and make the play. The 5'10 190 pounder shows off a utilty back in the Omaha Burke offense, and the skillsets I like that he provides offensively from a blocking perspective is why my nod shed more for Josh defensively as I surely think his football IQ has more growth as an OLB. Surely has a couple of years to gain more stock in either spot.     Grady appears as one of the biggest sleepers added to the rankings out of this 2028 quarterback group thus far. The 6'3 200 pounder from Cedar Catholic doesn't take long to show you how well-poised he is in the pocket and not only has the throttle you want from an arm strength perspective, Grady also has pinpoint accuracy in tight windows and the consistency he has with that is fun to watch as an evaluator. He's got excellent throw angles when he needs to fire into tight windows. Even his throws that he has to made from almost off the ground, break the plane from a precision and strength perspective. This young man should be an early offer name out of the Nebraska 2028 quarterback group. Big time sleeper out of NE Nebraska.
