Day is one of the more active defensive ends in the always loaded WCAL and is technically sound heading into his Junior season and is poised for a big year for the Lancers. He has heavy hands, resets the edge consistently and does a nice job eating up blocks on the edge and using his length and hands at the POA. As a pass rusher, he plays with relentless pursuit to the ball, can get underneath bigger tackles and wins with leverage and sudden power at the point of attack. Day is a very high IQ player when playing blocks, working flat backside and is a tough and physical prospect that should be drawing college interest sooner rather than later.
