Underclass Standouts at the NW Showcase (2029+30’s) QB/WR/TE/DB

Over the next few days, we will take a look at some of the top young registered athletes from the Northwest Showcase, breaking them down by position and class. Here we talk on the QB/WR/TE & DB's with a couple of the individuals already being recruited nationally.         [player_tooltip player_id='1509111' first='Jagger' last='Salazar'] 6-2 185 29' WR Lakeridge OR   We've talked about Salazar a lot over the last year and for good reason. He projects as one of the top receivers in the NW and could thrive even more so with top 29' QB [player_tooltip player_id='2079650' first='Cayde' last='Campbell'] making the transfer from Tualatin.   [player_tooltip player_id='1397308' first='Dash' last='Jones'] 5-9 165 CB 30' Federal Way WA   Separate from his recent offers to Cal and UCLA, Jones landed MVP honors as an incoming freshman at the largest mega camp on the west coast in the Northwest Showcase. Something incredibly rare for such a young athlete at the region's biggest event.    [player_tooltip player_id='1564852' first='Landon' last='Benner'] 5-10 170 QB 29' Nelson OR   One of the most talked about teams in the NW over the last year has been Nelson HS, largely in part because of their up-and-coming athletes and what they bring to the table. The 5-10 QB Benner projects as one of the best overall players in Oregon.    [player_tooltip player_id='2131778' first='Hudson' last='Brooks'] 5-9 160 CB 29' Lakeridge OR   Really like this kid. Brooks will be one of the top DB's in the TRL for multiple seasons. Like many of his teammates, he could play early for the Pacers and be a difference maker.     Sincere Ford 5-8 140 WR 31' WASH   One of the best players at the camp, not just among underclassmen. Everyone is aware of FSP and what they have done on a national level over the years. Sincere will be a major recruit both on the football field and on the track.    [player_tooltip player_id='2204876' first='Noah' last='Strasheim'] 5-11 160 WR 30' Willamette OR   Remember the name. What will be one of the top players in Oregon for the 2030 class. He looked outstanding at the NW Showcase with his route running and catching ability. Willamette is getting another good one with the 4-sport athlete.    [player_tooltip player_id='1557935' first='Isaac' last='Thompson'] 5-11 175 ATH 29' Eastside Catholic WA   I expect Thompson to make a nice jump up the rankings board when updated. He epitomizes the "do it all" athlete and will be a dangerous weapon as a sophomore for Eastside, after starting part-time last season.    [player_tooltip player_id='2104547' first='Kingston' last='Robinson'] 6-4 205 TE 29' Westview OR   Super intriguing overall athlete with size. He made a name for himself initially at the PRZ Showcase where he popped. There's still a lot of work to be done but you can do big things with the frame and upside.    [player_tooltip player_id='2213895' first='Alexander' last='Goeckner'] 6-3 190 TE 29' Jesuit   Another kid who has done well coming up through the youth ranks. It will be interesting to see how quickly Goeckner gets on the field this year at the varsity level as he can play on either side of the ball.    [player_tooltip player_id='1558030' first='AJ' last='Walker'] 5-7 135 ATH 29' Westview    One of Oregon's breakout athletes from the 7v7 season. Walker could be one of the Metro's best as a sophomore, even as an undersized Slot/CB, with the camp circuit being very telling.    [player_tooltip player_id='2230212' first='Cooper' last='Lemen'] 6-4 170 WR/QB 29' Putnam OR   The Kingsmen took a huge step forward with the hire of Michael Snyder as head coach. That said as guys like Lemen could thrive under his leadership with his overall size and potential. Look for him to play early and often.    [player_tooltip player_id='1855541' first='Malakai' last='Belz'] 6-0 190 TE 29' Lakeridge   How many Lakeridge guys are on this list? Belz has had an impressive freshman year and will be part of a special 2029 class. If the Pacers can get some line play the sky's the limit with an elite perimeter.    [player_tooltip player_id='2230210' first='Brody' last='Fullerton'] 6-1 200 TE 29' Henley OR   One of the fastest rising 4A players in Oregon. Fullerton accomplished the rare feat of earning all-conference honors on both sides of the ball as freshman. Look for him to make a nice jump up the rankings board.    [player_tooltip player_id='2056041' first='Jude' last='Buck'] 6-0 165 QB 29' Cleveland OR   Buck has been everywhere this offseason after earning all-conference honors at Cleveland as a freshman. The camp guru was at the Vegas showcase the week prior to the NW and continues to do well. Give him credit for continually getting out.    [player_tooltip player_id='2230200' first='Henry' last='Woodward'] 6-0 150 QB 29' Summit OR   Summit now seems to be a fixture among the top 5A teams in Oregon with a #1 ranking for most of last season. Woodward looks to be next in line, playing behind reigning IMC POY [player_tooltip player_id='1358896' first='Andrew' last='Guthrie']. He doesn't have prototypical size but if he continues to develop he should do well.    [player_tooltip player_id='2230207' first='Buster' last='Seger'] 6-1 160 WR 29' Glencoe OR   Coach Reynoso has done such a good job with his guys over at Glencoe, you have to continuously keep an eye on some of the young standouts. There is still a lot yet to be determined when it comes to Seger, but he has legit size and a solid supporting cast.
