Ky Future Stars: Class of 2032 LBs and DBs

Every year, the Future Stars game gives young athletes a chance to introduce themselves on a big stage, and the Kentucky Class of 2032 linebackers and defensive backs are ready for their opportunity. With many new names preparing to make their Future Stars debut against Tennessee, this year's group brings plenty of excitement, energy, and potential to the Kentucky defense. From aggressive linebackers looking to make plays in the open field to defensive backs eager to prove they can lock down receivers and create turnovers, this game will be a chance to see which young defenders rise to the moment. As the rivalry continues to grow, so does the opportunity for these up-and-coming playmakers to leave their mark and show they could be the next standout names for Kentucky Future Stars.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Line Backers</h2>    Bell is an emerging linebacker in the Class of 2032 from Crittenden County who has already started to make a name for himself as one of the more promising young defenders in western Kentucky. A multi-sport athlete, Bell brings speed and athleticism to the linebacker position, allowing him to pursue plays sideline-to-sideline and make an impact in both run support and pursuit situations. His selection to the West Kentucky All-Star Team is a strong indicator of the respect he has earned from coaches and evaluators across the region. As he continues to develop physically and gain experience, Bell possesses the tools to become a solid line backer. With his athletic background, natural speed, and upside, he is another player in his class who shows significant promise and should be a name to watch over the next few seasons.     Lewis out of McCreary County Middle School is one of those versatile athletes who always seems to find a way to make plays when the ball is in his hands. While he normally contributes on both sides of the football, Lewis will be showcasing strictly at linebacker in this year's Future Stars game, giving us a chance to see his physicality and instincts on defense full time. He turned heads during the KYMSFA All Star Classic with an explosive performance that included three rushing touchdowns, showing off his athleticism and ability to impact a game in multiple ways. A former member of the KYMSFA Battle of the Regions team and a KYMSFA Regional POY Honorable Mention selection, Lewis brings toughness, experience, and playmaking ability to the Kentucky defense and should be a strong addition to this linebacker corps.     Moody out of Knox Middle looks ready to be one of the key leaders in the middle of the defense for Kentucky Future Stars. Standing at 5'9” with great size for the Class of 2032, Moody brings a physical style of play and has already built a reputation as a strong hitter who isn't afraid to step up and make big tackles. He earned Defensive Player of the Game honors in the KYMSFA All-Star Classic Game, showing his ability to perform on a big stage against top competition. As a member of the winning Battle of the Regions team, Moody has already experienced success in high-level competition, and his toughness, instincts, and ability to control the middle of the field should make him a strong anchor at middle linebacker this season.     Luttrell of Harlan Independent has established himself as one of the top young linebackers in the region, earning recognition on the KYMSFA Region 4 Player of the Year Honorable Mention Team for his outstanding play and relentless motor. A true difference-maker on defense, Luttrell was a standout performer at the Battle of the Regions, where he dominated at shutting down the run game between the tackles, consistently disrupted opposing the backfield with pressure, and finished with more than 20 tackles and two forced fumbles. His instincts and natural nose for the football allow him to recognize ball flow quickly and arrive at the point of attack, making him a constant presence around the ball. With his physicality, toughness, and ability to create turnovers, look for Luttrell to be a major force at linebacker against Tennessee and one of the defensive leaders for his squad.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other Notable Line Backers</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='2219110' first='Keyian' last='Roy'] - Roy is a physical, hard-nosed linebacker from Boone County who brings toughness and intensity to every snap. A member of the 2026 KYMSFA Battle of the Regions Region 2 team, Roy has developed through multiple season league teams, showcasing his ability to play downhill, attack ball carriers, and deliver solid contact. His physical style and competitive mindset make him a dependable presence in the middle of the defense and a player capable of making an impact against the run. A multi-sport student-athlete and member of the Battle of the Regions 6th Grade Team, Wilson brings outstanding speed and natural playmaking ability to the secondary. His willingness to compete year-round with offseason teams shows a strong commitment to improving his craft and gaining valuable game experience. With his quickness, athletic versatility, and continued focus on development, Wilson has the tools to become a difference-maker in the defensive backfield and a valuable asset for Ky Future Stars.     Rufus of Southern Pulaski is a promising defensive back who continues to impress with his speed, instincts, and ability to find the football in the air. A strong ball tracker with the athleticism to make plays all over the secondary, Rufus earned his way onto the Battle of the Regions roster and delivered when the moment was biggest, recording the game-winning pass breakup to help secure the victory. He showed solid coverage skills throughout the weekend and demonstrated the confidence and composure coaches look for in a defensive back. With his athletic tools and playmaking ability, expect big things from this young man as he continues to develop and make an impact on the field.     Strunk brings a championship pedigree to the field after helping capture a 2025 KYMSFA State Championship and earning a spot on the Battle of the Regions team, competing against some of Kentucky's top middle school talent. Standing at 5'7" as a 6th grader, Strunk already possesses good size and length coaches look for in a defensive back, and he uses those physical tools well in one-on-one coverage situations. He shows the ability to stay attached to receivers, challenge passes at the catch point, and make opposing quarterbacks think twice about testing his side of the field. With his combination of size, experience, and proven success on big stages, Strunk looks to be a dependable and impactful addition to the defensive backfield and a player with plenty of upside as he continues to develop.
