Film Room Fridays: Talented New Prospects to Watch

It's Film Room Friday!   Today, we're watching five talented players from around the state who really impressed us with their film from last fall.   We think these guys are going to have huge years in 2026- so don't miss out on them now. We'll be hearing a ton from them this upcoming season.    [player_tooltip player_id='2218058' first='Ka'Mauri' last='Smith'] is a talented 2030 LB/RB from Opelika who really impressed in his eighth grade season last fall.   "Defensively, Smith provides great coverage on the backend of this secondary, and impressive run defense up front. He's quick to react post snap, has great sideline-to-sideline speed, and has impressive tackling and ball skills he uses to create turnovers and splash plays behind the line.   Offensively, Smith is a physical back who uses his speed, contact balance, and toughness to wear down opposing defenses. He's quick out of the backfield, can withstand hits, and has the vision and speed to find lanes and quickly take the ball upfield for huge gains on the ground."   Smith has already shown a ton of potential, I'm really excited for his freshman year and overall future at Opelika. You can easily see his talent in his tape below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1964581' first='Collin' last='Turner'] is an impressive two way player from Greenville who made a huge impact on both sides of the ball in his sophomore season last fall.   "Turner is a rangy safety who can provide great run support downhill. He's fast, is great in pursuit, and frequently comes up with huge stops down near the line of scrimmage, preventing huge carries from breaking off in the open field.   As a WR, Turner uses his speed and acceleration to capitalize on every route he runs. He's quick and explosive after the catch, turning upfield and evading defenders to find extra yards and create scoring plays. There's a ton to like with his tape, I think he's up for a big junior season this fall."   Turner provided impressive production both on defense and offense last season. Make sure you watch some of his film from last season below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2218064' first='Robert' last='McNeal'] is a talented LB who's produced a ton for Carroll's defense the last few years.   "McNeal is a physical run defender who can completely shut down opposing rushing attacks. He's quick to get downhill, can fly by/power through blockers, and has the pursuit, closing speed, and tackling skills to take down.   I'm really impressed with McNeal's ability to diagnose plays. He isn't easily fooled and always finds himself in the best possible position to create impact plays. You can tell he's a really intelligent and experienced defender, it might be his best trait."   McNeal put together some really impressive tape from this past fall. I think he's going to have a huge senior year this upcoming season, be sure to watch below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2218068' first='Vincent' last='Savage'] is a versatile trench player from Pike Road who's made huge impacts on their offensive and defensive lines.   "At OT, Savage is an aggressive, physical player upfront who will drive defenders several yards off the line on run plays. He explodes off the snap, plays with great leverage, and has the power, motor, and effort to completely pave over anyone in his path. When you combine that with his ability to protect the quarterback as well, it makes him even more valuable   At DT, Savage does a great job eating up space and opening up opportunities for his teammates. He demands a ton of attention from opposing OLs with his size and power, and frequently helps stop the run with how little he's moved off the line. No matter where he's lined up, you can count on him to create a huge impact."   Savage showed a ton of promising things on tape this past year. I think he's going to really shine in his senior year this fall, be sure to take a look at his tape below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2218070' first='Braydon' last='Kittle'] is a talented defender from Gadsden City who's headed into a big senior season.   "Kittle is an every down threat to opposing offenses. He can rush the passer, create plays out in coverage, and defend the run as well as anyone, making him a really versatile defender for offenses to overcome.   I'm really impressed with Kittle's pass rush and coverage skills the most. As a pass rusher, he does a great job using his speed, hands, and motor to consistently make his way to the quarterback and create impact plays. When you see how he can get his hands on the ball as well, it makes him a massive asset to his team's defense."   Kittle had an impressive year this past fall. We all need to look out for him and this Gadsden City team this upcoming season.
