About Griffen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile playmaker capable of learning any system. Elite rapid decision making, improvisation, and search efficiency. R4 and QBIQ trained.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Nose to the grindstone. Constantly honing strengths and shoring up weaknesses in my game. Resilient. Pressure helps me focus. Lead through service to my team. Always recruiting new talent from my school to my team and strengthening connections between my teammates. Love learning new things and mastering new skills.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Life Scout in BSA and on track to earn my Eagle Scout Award by the end of 2026. I play viola in my school's concert orchestra.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a member of BSA Scouting America and have been a scout since I was 6 years old. It is a leadership-focused program that also does lots of community service and team-building exercises. It has been the thing that has taught me most about leadership.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had limited playing time as a sophomore because of my position as backup to our senior QB and we only had two teams last year. I took every opportunity to get on the field. I ended up being able to lead us at QB from a deficit late in a varsity game to overtime, played on special teams, and played a half at MLB in our first state appearance in 6 years.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play at football at the highest level possible on a team that provides the best development for me as a QB and a offers a great education for after football (whenever that is). My ideal school is a large Western-US university.
