Offensive Standouts From St. Joseph vs Chelsea

The Chelsea Bulldogs defeated the St. Joseph Bears by a score of 24-14 on Friday night. Several players had notable performances offensively. <strong>#12 Lucas Dunn </strong>| QB | Chelsea Dunn is a very composed quarterback. Pressure from the defense does not seem to bother him too much and his play was a very big part of his team coming out victorious. On the night, Dunn was 12 out of 18 passing to go along with 165 yards and two passing touchdowns. Lucas Dunn has a strong arm and is very accurate. Dunn’s play will be a key part in the Chelsea Bulldogs making a playoff run. <strong>#5 [player_tooltip player_id="99231" first="Cole" last="Munson"] </strong>| RB/WR | Chelsea | <a href="http://www.hudl.com/v/2FyQwh">Hudl</a> Munson is just one of the several talented receivers that Chelsea has on their football team. Munson helped Chelsea tie the game early with a 9-yard touchdown catch. Munson is a great athlete who has shown the versatility to line up in the backfield and run the ball very effectively as well. <strong>#9 Matt Lanier </strong>| QB | St. Joseph Lanier is a very tough quarterback. This was a hard-hitting football game and Lanier ran the ball several times for St. Joseph. Lanier took several big hits and just popped right back up. Lanier showed off his speed and athleticism to make people miss on several of his long runs. Matt Lanier carries out his fakes so well that the defense always has to think about who has the football in their hands. Lanier scored both of St. Joseph’s touchdowns on the night. <strong>#6 Joron Brown</strong> | RB/LB | St. Joseph Joron Brown had several good tough runs for St. Joseph. Brown is a guy that refuses to go down easily. Brown is a very quick running back who also runs with great power. His play was the reason St. Joseph ran the ball well and kept the chains moving all night. <strong>#20 Trent Hill</strong> | RB | Chelsea Hill did a great job of making defenders miss and gaining tough yardage against an aggressive St. Joseph defense. Chelsea ran a lot of sweep plays to Hill on the night. Hill is so quick at getting to the outside, so most of these plays were executed very well and gained positive yardage. On the night, Trent Hill had 24 carries for 93 yards. <strong>#4 Lucas Hanifan </strong>| WR | Chelsea Hanifan had a big game for Chelsea. At the receiver position, Hanifan is an excellent route runner who can get open quickly. Hanifan was responsible for a 49-yard touchdown catch that allowed Chelsea to take the lead. Hanifan does a great job of getting separation on go routes and underneath routes. Lucas Hanifan lead all receivers on the night, hauling in 5 catches for 121 yards receiving and a touchdown. The Chelsea Bulldogs move to 8-0 on the season and will travel to take on Dexter next week. The St. Joseph Bears go to 5-3 on the year and will take on Battle Creek Lakeview at home next Friday.
