Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Scott checks into our 2029 rankings update as one of the top 100 players in this loaded class across California and can play on either side of the ball. As a corner, he is a bigger framed kid that is good in run support, has natural ball skills and PBU abilities if beat inside while able to make plays on the ball with return abilities. Scott shows change of direction, fluid hips in transition and is a high IQ player in zone coverage with good eyes and baits quarterbacks into poor throws before quickly breaking on the ball. He should be drawing plenty of college attention over the next three years and is a key name to note moving forward.

Scott caught 13 passes for 266 yards with a touchdown as a freshman for Mission Bay and had 11 tackles with a forced fumble and two interceptions on defense.
As a corner, he is effective in man coverage and zone when playing off the ball. Scott is physical at the point of attack with good ball skills and good recovery length if he gets beat initially. There isn’t a ton of film on him at receiver, but he is good at shaking off press man coverage and can find holes in zone coverage.
