There aren't many players in this field who look physically or athletically gifted as Andre Perkins. Known as the top running back prospect out of New England, he showed this weekend that his impact stretches well beyond the backfield.

What stands out immediately is his build and strength, which already look ready for the next level. He played with a level of physicality that set the tone early, exploding off the line before snapping routes down with sharp, sudden stops that left defenders trailing. His ability to decelerate and redirect created consistent separation, often leaving him uncovered.

Ramiel Minor was a player I had to stop and get his name before the end of the day because he consistently made his play on the field known. An athletic linebacker lining up in the middle of the field, Ramiel was a true anchor on defense, keeping his head on a swivel and picking up receivers as they came screaming across the middle. Luckily for Rockhopper, Ramiel is a receiver himself, so he plays defense as if he's the one running the route. When he is on offense, Ramiel showed great hand eye coordination when he stretched out for the ball and pulled it in across the middle, all while maintaining his speed. If that isn't what you are looking for in a receiver, I don't what is.

Mason Bastien is a lean, sprinter type receiver that can truly fly. A flash against most defenders, Mason used elite footwork and quickness off of the line to create early separation on the corner, and after that, good luck catching him. There were multiple examples of Mason ripping past a defender, but on one particular route he split the safeties with a post down the middle for an easy score. This kid is the real deal.

Tyree Smallwood controlled the middle of the field with confidence all weekend. He consistently positioned himself well pre-snap and showed the ability to open his hips smoothly, covering ground toward the sideline with ease and displaying impressive range in coverage.

What really separated him, though, was how quickly he transitioned from coverage to attack mode. The moment he diagnosed a route breaking across the middle, he closed downhill in a hurry, cutting off passing lanes and arriving with intent. His ability to read, react, and then explode forward made him a problem for quarterbacks trying to work the middle of the field.

Jayden Caron is a name I kept hearing more and more of throughout the day on Saturday. A consistent target, Jayden had reliable hands and showed he can continue to move the sticks as a preferred target. Jayden's quick release off of the line and explosiveness out of his break makes him a weapon you have to keep a tab on. His success extended as a defender as well, where he came up with a pick lining up as a corner early on in one of their games. Jayden Caron is a true athlete.
