We continue our popular City Series by taking a look at the top wide receivers in Northern New Mexico for the 2026 season:

[player_tooltip player_id='1606095' first='Ben' last='Brousseau'], Los Alamos: The Hilltoppers will again have one of the top rushing attacks in Class 5A, but they're not afraid to throw the ball as well. Brousseau had 38 receptions for 542 yards and 5 TD in 2025. Four of the seven receivers with 10+ catches last season return for the Hilltoppers. Los Alamos will again be a contender for the District 5A-1 title.

[player_tooltip player_id='1826139' first='Cable' last='Carruth'], Bloomfield: Four of Bloomfield's top five receivers in 2025 were seniors. Carruth, a rising junior, is the lone returnee. He should again be a valuable weapon in the passing game after averaging 28.3 yards per reception in 2025. Eight of his 20 receptions went for TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1680201' first='Luciano' last='Castillo'], Raton: Watch out for Raton in 2026. Castillo will have a pivotal role in what should be an explosive and dynamic Tigers offensive attack. Last season he made 30 receptions for 551 yards and 9 TD, so nearly one-third of his receptions produced a TD. He also returned kickoffs and punts, finishing with close to 1,000 total yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613627' first='Nijrelle' last='Denetso'], Navajo Prep: What separates Denetso from most other receivers is his ability to stretch opposing defenses vertically. As a sophomore in 2025, he averaged an impressive 26.4 yards per reception for the Eagles. Ten of his 24 catches produced touchdowns. That's an eye-opening ratio.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155019' first='Ryan' last='Hunt'], St. Michael's: As we've said before, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Hunt is more than just one of the top defensive ends/edge rushers in the entire state. He's also a dangerous weapon as a wide receiver and tight end. Unleashed, he's capable of outrunning defensive backs on deep routes, or outleaping them if necessary. Caught 40 passes for 743 yards and 13 TD last season. Hunt will be one of the top two-way players in the state in 2026.
