committed to Miami (OH) to play his college football. Posey is coming off an excellent season for the 7A state champs. Other schools involved with Posey included Central Michigan, Navy, New Mexico, Lindenwood, Washington State, San Diego State, Western Michigan, and more.
He told us why Miami (OH) was his choice.
“Miami really stood out to me because of how the coaching staff develops their players at a high level. I also love the opportunity to compete early and earn a role on a team that's built a strong championship standard. That combination made it feel like the right fit for me.”
Posey feels he will be right at home with the Redhawks O Line group!
“Coach Patton talked a lot about playing with intent, and that's something I take pride in every time I step on the field. They see me as a versatile offensive lineman who can develop across all five positions, and I'm ready to contribute in any way I can to help the RedHawks succeed.”
The Brother Rice 6'4” 300 pound offensive tackle didn't allow any sacks all year in their run to a state title. First thing that stands out with Posey is the power in his hands throwing guys to the ground even in pass protection. Pushes man up field in pass protection then shows them the ground for the rest of the play. Posey uses good technique combined with his physical tools. Think he brings positional versatility to slide to right tackle or even guard if needed.
Posey checks in at #40 overall in the Prep Redzone Illinois 2027 Rankings and #10 offensive lineman!
