2028 Rankings Update 3.0: OL

The latest class to get an update is the class of 2028, with our new Top 125 dropping last week. Now that these rankings have been released, I will be taking some time to break them down by position. Walls lines up at left tackle where he has proven to be very reliable in pass protection. He had quick footwork which he uses to get into his pass sets with a sense of urgency to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge. Walls also does a great job of defeating pass rush moves and finishing blocks quickly. In the run game, Ryan has shown the ability to create movement off the line of scrimmage with ease, frequently driving his man several yards down the field. Carrico lines up at right tackle where he is very impressive as a run blocker. He plays with a high motor and a ton of physicality. John is especially effective when asked to down block as he is able to drive his man inside with ease to create an outside running lane for the ball carrier. In pass protection, Carrico has shown the ability to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge while maintaining a strong base. Close is a true mauler in the run game, exploding out of his stance and driving his man down the field with ease. He has also shown the ability to pull from the tackle spot and pick up blocks in open space. Hudsen finishes his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Bryant lines up at left tackle where he is at his best as a run blocker. Christian creates movement off the line of scrimmage with ease and finishes his blocks with a sense of urgency. He has also shown the ability to get up to the second level on longer runs to pick up blocks in the open field. In pass protection, Bryant does a great job of keeping a strong base while taking on contact and fighting with his hands to defeat pass rush moves. Holman has also proven to be an effective puller and has shown the awareness to pick up blocks in the open field.
