’27 Rankings: Highest Stock Risers of March Update

This rankings rollout for the upcoming senior class is an exciting one. Now that the evaluation process is complete for this update, I can confidently say this class is absolutely loaded. I'm even willing to say this may be the deepest class I've scouted in my time working for Prep Redzone Kansas. I realize that's high praise, but this class is poised to live up to the hype.

In this update the Class of ‘27 saw quite a bit of change. Over 25 players made their debuts, and well over 50 prospects climbed the rankings. Stock risers will be the topic of discussion in this report. Here's a breakdown of five of the highest stock risers from this March update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612732' first='Tyson' last='Phillips'] - Wichita Heights, 6'5”, 215, Edge

Phillips of Wichita Heights came away with the second highest increase in rank this time around. The lengthy edge rusher climbed 103 spots to No. 44 overall, and is the 3rd ranked player at his position. This massive increase comes after Phillips landed on the Division I radar earlier this year. He currently has offers from Eastern Michigan, Marshall, New Mexico, San Diego State, and South Dakota.

[player_tooltip player_id='1399834' first='Prince' last='Lassiter'] - Topeka West, 6'6”, 235, DL

Next up is another pass rusher that is quickly becoming a hot commodity. Lassiter is a top stock riser once again as he's also receiving quite a bit of next level interest. He's received offers from Missouri Western State, the University of Pennsylvania, and South Dakota. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect is now the 35th ranked player overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2061310' first='Gunnar' last='Greeson'] - St. Thomas Aquinas, 5'11”, 180, DB

Greeson of St. Thomas Aquinas moved up after an impressive junior campaign, and a strong start to the offseason. He's now the 13th ranked DB in the class, and the 86th ranked prospect overall. During the ‘25 campaign he recorded 59 total tackles, three interceptions, and one blocked punt. This earned him a 1st Team All-EKL selection. Greeson also received high praise following a performance from an offseason showcase in December.

[player_tooltip player_id='1354313' first='Davon' last='Morrison'] - Derby, 5'10”, 155, ATH

Morrison is back in the Top 50 after flashing his big play ability during his junior season. He put together a dominant performance in the playoffs against powerhouse Wichita Northwest, as he found the end zone multiple times in that contest. Morrison is known for his speed and is sure to turn heads during track season as well. He's now the 3rd ranked athlete in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1277775' first='Henry' last='Houser'] - Blue Valley North, 6'5”, 270, OL

Much like his peers in this report, Houser's recruitment has also heated up. He's up to five Division I offers now, as he's been offered by Columbia, Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and South Dakota State. In this update Houser climbed 28 spots to No. 55 overall, and is the 10th ranked OL prospect in the class.
