Buckeye State Blitz Top 15U Performers The Morning Session

All of the teams came out of the shoot, ready to play. In this article I take a look at some of the top performers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Kyng Jones (Cash Cow Elite)-</strong> Jones was a monster on both sides of the ball. At wide receiver he ran strong routes and was able to get separation. With the ball in his hands, he was looking to make plays. Kyng is an explosive athlete with good length.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Grayson Free (TSE Blue)-</strong> Free did a good job of spreading the ball around and finding open men and putting it in catchable spots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Cayenne Redmon (Indy Select South)-</strong> Redmon is a long and twitchy athlete who played both sides of the ball. On defense he lined up at cornerback. His football IQ seemed high as he was calling out alignment and assignments on motions. On offense is where I think he really shine though. He showed the ability to get easy separation and is a natural hand catcher.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>JJ Chevalier (Cubs National)-</strong> Chevalier lined up at receiver for the Cubs. He possesses a great frame and a thick build. His play strength stood out as he was able to work through press coverage and showed off strong hands through contact. With his size, I could see JJ eventually growing into a tight end where his athleticism would play up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Michael Ginyard (PA Goblins)-</strong> Ginyard combination of length and athleticism really flashed. While he played both sides of the ball. Where he shined most for me was on the defensive side of the ball lining up at corner. He showed patient feet, and really excelled at using his length and ball skills to bat balls away. I think Michael would be strong ant either the corner or safety positions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Semaj Robinson (PA Goblins)-</strong> I really liked what I saw out of the goblins receiver. Robinson shows off a strong frame. I thought he did a good job with his route running, using tempo and sharp breaks to create separation. Robinson has good ball skills that he used to win some 50-50's.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Jaron McKinney Jr (PA Goblins)-</strong> McKinney had a really nice day. He looked smooth and refined for a 2029. He was able to consistently anticipate and find open men. Jaron has the arm talent to really rip it. He had some really nice throws into windows that showed ability beyond his years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Jaylen Montgomery (Cubs National)-</strong> At wide receiver Montgomery had some flashes of elite playmaking ability. On one particular play he went up and over the opposing defender for the head-tapper. He has a wiry build and is extremely explosive in his movements. When the ball is in the air, he's a guy that you expect to come down with it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
